About the Role
As a Payment Compliance Manager at Gopay, you’ll help ensure our regulatory reporting and communications with Bank Indonesia are accurate, timely, and well-documented. You’ll be the person who looks closely at the data, challenges inconsistencies, follows through on regulatory letters and invitations, and makes sure every required action is properly tracked and executed. You’ll work closely with Product, Finance, Data, and other teams to turn regulatory requirements into clear and reliable deliverables. What You Will Do: Lead regulatory engagement with Bank Indonesia, including regulatory consultations, submissions, examinations, and follow-up on regulatory requests and findings. Advise Product, Business, Legal, Risk, and other main stakeholders of the company on the regulatory implications of new products, features, partnerships, and business initiatives. Drive end-to-end regulatory approval and compliance assessments for strategic payment products and initiatives, ensuring timely and well-supported regulatory decisions. Interpret evolving Bank Indonesia regulations and translate regulatory requirements into clear, practical guidance, controls, and actions for relevant stakeholders. Manage regulatory self assessment, audit and remediation programs, from assessing findings and identifying root causes to driving corrective actions and ensuring sustainable closure. Build strong cross-functional alignment and trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and Bank Indonesia to ensure consistent regulatory positioning and effective execution.
What You Will Need: Have 5–10 years of experience in regulatory compliance, regulatory affairs, or a related function within the payment industry financial services, or fintech. Demonstrate strong knowledge of Bank Indonesia regulations, particularly regulations governing payment systems, payment service providers, e-money, payment gateway and related activities. Have hands-on experience engaging with regulators, preferably Bank Indonesia, including regulatory consultations, submissions, examinations, or regulatory follow-ups. Demonstrate the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, practical recommendations for Product, Business, Legal, Risk, Engineering, and other stakeholders. Have strong regulatory judgment and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess ambiguous requirements, identify risks, and recommend pragmatic solutions. Demonstrate strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to influence senior stakeholders and constructively challenge business decisions when required.vvvv Have strong written and verbal communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia English, with a Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Finance, Economics, Communication, International Relationwe m or a related field.
