About The Role
The Senior Industrial Relations and Formalities role is a pivotal position within the People and Culture Team (PAC), focusing on ensuring compliance with labor laws, managing industrial relations, including PAC policy, and handling employee formalities. The coverage of IR and Formalities is across our operations in four countries. This role involves resolving workplace conflicts, leading disciplinary processes (including fraud investigations), managing internal PAC Policy, and coordinating visa and work permit formalities through our appointed agency (only for ID). The candidate will also oversee the administration and periodic review of PAC policies, serving as the central point for policy alignment across all regions. The role demands strong communication skills to engage with diverse teams and a proactive, investigative approach to problem-solving.
What You Will Do: Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations in all four countries of operation (Indonesia, Singapore, India and China), staying updated on labor law changes and advising management on best practices. Manage employee relations, mediate disputes, and foster positive relationships with employees and external stakeholders (e.g., unions, labor agencies). Address workplace conflicts through mediation and negotiation, ensuring fair and consistent resolutions. Lead investigations into disciplinary issues, including fraud, with a strong investigative mindset to gather evidence and recommend appropriate actions. Coordinate visa, work permit, and other compliance-related formalities with our appointed agency, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Oversee the development, implementation, and regular review (semi-annual or annual) of PAC policies to ensure consistency and compliance across all regions. Coordinate with teams across four countries to align HR initiatives and address regional needs. Organize and conduct regular policy and performance reviews (semi-annual or annual) to ensure compliance and continuous improvement. Utilize Microsoft Excel to track, analyze, and report PAC-related data, including policy adherence, employee relations metrics, and compliance records. Facilitate training on labor policies, emphasizing Indonesian employment regulations. Oversee grievance procedures to maintain a positive work environment in global and Indonesian operations
What You Will Need: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR, with a focus on industrial relations, labor law, or employee relations (experience in multiple jurisdictions preferred).
Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data management, reporting, and analysis.
Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations across multiple countries (experience in the four countries of operation is a plus).
Proven experience managing visa and work permit processes with external agencies.
Fluent in English (written and verbal), with excellent communication skills to engage with diverse teams across four countries. High resilience and flexibility, including the willingness to work extended hours when required and the readiness to adapt seamlessly to sudden, fast-changing business decisions.
