We are seeking a strategically driven Associate Social Media Director/Social Media Director to lead the development of social-first strategies and culturally relevant creative solutions across brands and platforms.Working closely with the Head of Social, this role will shape impactful social approaches that drive engagement, relevance, and business outcomes. The ideal candidate brings strong strategic thinking, deep understanding of social and audience behaviours, senior client management experience, and the ability to lead teams in delivering effective, culturally resonant work.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic LeadershipPartner closely with the Head of Social to develop integrated social media strategies across brands and campaigns.Lead strategic thinking across always-on, campaign, and reactive social opportunities.Translate brand, audience, and business objectives into platform-native social approaches.Identify emerging trends, platform shifts, and cultural moments to proactively inform strategic recommendations.Drive innovation in social storytelling, creator partnerships, and audience engagement models.Apply analysis of platform tools, dashboards, and ecosystem changes to continuously optimise strategy.Ensure strategies effectively cover both always-on and campaign-based social initiatives.Experience leading influencer strategy and activation as part of integrated campaigns.Creative & Content DirectionGuide the development of social-first creative ideas and content ecosystems across platforms.Collaborate with creative, strategy, production, and influencer teams to deliver culturally relevant and high-performing work.Ensure content aligns with brand voice while remaining native to platform behaviours and audience expectations.Provide strategic oversight on editorial planning, content pillars, and publishing frameworks.Oversee execution across always-on content streams and campaign activations.Client Partnership & ConsultancyAct as a senior strategic advisor to clients on social media trends, opportunities, and performance.Lead presentations, workshops, and strategic discussions with confidence and clarity.Build trusted client relationships through proactive thinking and thought leadership.Help clients navigate evolving social behaviours, creator ecosystems, and platform innovations.Advise clients on setting up and optimising new social channels across platforms.Performance & InsightsLeverage analytics, social listening, and audience insights to optimize strategies and identify opportunities.Interpret data into actionable recommendations and future-facing strategic direction.Define KPIs and success metrics aligned to broader business and marketing objectives.Strong familiarity with social reporting, including building and interpreting dashboards.Experience working with social content management and publishing tools, and setting up reporting dashboards (e.g. Sprinklr or similar).Team Leadership & CollaborationMentor and guide social team members, helping elevate strategic and creative thinking across the discipline.Foster a collaborative and culturally curious team environment.Work cross-functionally with strategy, creative, media, and account teams to deliver integrated solutions.Proven experience working with cross-disciplinary teams including influencer and production teams.Hands-on across all major social platforms, with the ability to guide teams on execution and platform best practices.Support the growth and evolution of the agency’s social offering and capabilities.Job SpecificationsKnowledge and Experiences Required8–10 years’ experience in social media, digital, or integrated communications, with a strong track record in developing social-first strategies and culturally relevant campaigns.Proven experience leading integrated social initiatives across content, creator ecosystems, paid media, and audience engagement.Strong strategic understanding of platform behaviours, audience dynamics, and emerging digital culture.Demonstrated experience partnering with senior clients and cross-functional leadership teams to deliver impactful business and brand outcomes.Experience leading and mentoring teams while elevating strategic and creative standards across projects.Experience working on public sector, healthcare, wellness, lifestyle, or purpose-driven brands is advantageous.Skills RequiredStrong strategic thinking with the ability to translate business objectives into impactful social strategies.Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.Confident in presenting strategic recommendations and social insights to clients and senior leadership.Strong understanding of social analytics, performance reporting, and social listening tools (e.g. Sprinklr).Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to
