Partner closely with Infrastructure, SRE, and Development teams to define shared operational goals, improve system observability, and drive the delivery of robust, high-availability services. Refine, document, and champion TOC Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Runbooks, ensuring alignment, transparency, and consistent execution of operational processes across all shifts. Establish, enforce, and technically audit operational best practices across the engineering organization, ensuring deployment processes, service configuration, and monitoring strategies meet the highest standards for service health and stability. Mentor and coach junior TOC engineers, providing technical guidance and direction to ensure effective execution, skill development, and professional growth within the team.

You have deep technical expertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP), live service operations, and system monitoring-either as an escalation point or a hands-on technical lead. You have a deep understanding and hands-on experience with VMware technologies (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter), particularly in an enterprise environment supporting high-availability services. You demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. You build trust quickly, communicate complex technical issues clearly during high-pressure incidents, and effectively coordinate across technical and non-technical audiences. You are passionate about developing high-performing teams and fostering a culture of operational rigor, continuous improvement, and blameless post-mortems. You are adept at navigating high-pressure, real-time incidents in a complex live-service environment, relying on incomplete data and expert judgment to initiate rapid service restoration. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, ideally in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. An advanced technical degree or relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, SRE, Cloud Infrastructure) is a plus. And most of all you have a passion for games and the technology that powers them.

Bonus Points Experience supporting AAA game development or publishing infrastructure for a global live-service title.
