About The RoleThis role ensures the company stays ahead of regulatory developments impacting the transport and mobility sector, enabling early identification and analysis of potential policy risks. Working closely with Legal, Compliance, Product, Operations, Corporate Affairs, and business leaders, this role supports clear and consistent policy positioning and informed decision-making. The role aims to analyze regulatory impacts on the business and its expansion and build strong, credible relationships with key government counterparts.
What You Will Do: Regulatory Frameworks: Formulate, draft, and refine model regulations, municipal bylaws, and public policy papers that advocate progressive tech-driven transportation solutions (e.g., ride-hailing structures, multi-modal transit integration, electric vehicle/EV infrastructure, and digital logistics). Regulatory Changes Monitoring: Review and analyze emerging national and regional transportation laws, traffic management regulations, and digital platform guidelines to identify operational risks or expansion opportunities for GoTo’s mobility sector. Regulatory Gap Analysis: Assess existing and upcoming relevant regulations related to transportation against upcoming business features to determine legal viability and structural roadblocks. Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate closely with the company's core Legal, Operations, and Product teams to ensure that regulations drafts match business realities, technological constraints, and corporate targets. Industry Coalitions: Assist in drafting joint position statements and industry-wide documents alongside industry associations..
What This Role Needs: Baachelor’s degree in Law, from a reputable university; Master’s degree preferred. Above 7 years of experience in legal drafting, legislative design, or regulatory affairs at government agencies, top-tier law firms, or the public policy teams. Strong familiarity with transport and digital economy regulations, mobility trends, ride-hailing regulations, public transit frameworks, and emerging electric vehicle (EV) policies. Established network among government stakeholders with a proven impact on policy decisions. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication skills, and independent project management capabilities.
