Within Corporate Operations, the G&A Business Applications team designs, implements, and optimizes the systems that power all of Zuora's core General & Administrative functions, including Finance, FP&A, Procurement, ZEO Success (HR), and Legal. Reporting to the Senior Business Systems Manager of Digital Workplace Experience, this team works closely with system analysts, administrators, project managers, data architects, and developers to deliver robust, scalable business solutions. The Sr. Developer - G&A Business Systems is a senior technical expert and data architect responsible for designing, building, and securing enterprise-grade data structures and integrations across our corporate systems ecosystem. This role functions as a critical cross-functional data and system integration specialist, ensuring seamless data flow, robust security governance, and scalable automation across diverse business platforms (e.g., Coupa, Workday, NetSuite, Navan, Lattice, Greenhouse, and more). You’ll join a collaborative, high-performing team that values innovation, continuous improvement, and professional growth. Your work will directly impact the efficiency, quality, and scalability of Zuora’s enterprise systems and digital transformation initiatives. YOUR MISSION As a senior technical anchor supporting all G&A functions, the Sr. Developer - G&A Business Systems collaborates closely with leaders across Finance, FP&A, Procurement, ZEO Success, and Legal to establish a cohesive enterprise data architecture. You will build robust system integrations and leverage cutting-edge AI frameworks to drive efficiency, maximize data reliability, and enforce strict compliance across all internal platforms in alignment with strategic goals. YOUR OPPORTUNITY As the Sr. Developer - G&A Business Systems, you will play a vital role in the development, data architecture, and integration of Finance, FP&A, Procurement, ZEO Success, and Legal systems. Combining your expertise as a data architect and multi-platform integration specialist, you’ll ensure seamless data flow, scalable automation, and cross-system reliability without being tied to a single core vendor. You’ll work closely with functional BSAs to prioritize initiatives, refine user stories, and deliver enhancements through agile sprints, while supporting testing and deployment activities. Key responsibilities include:
Lead integration support and comprehensive data architecture across core Finance, FP&A, Procurement, ZEO Success, and Legal business systems, ensuring cross-platform data consistency and process efficiency. Define and maintain end-to-end data models, data lineage, and integration patterns across all G&A applications, establishing a unified "single source of truth" bridging corporate finance, workforce analytics, and legal operations. Design, build, and optimize secure, high-performing API-based integrations, microservices, and file-based data flows (REST API, Webhooks, OAuth 2.0, SQL) across Coupa, Workday, NetSuite, Navan, Lattice, Greenhouse, and more tools. Architect and implement AI-driven automation workflows; evaluate and integrate AI productivity tools and emerging standard frameworks—such as Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers—to safely expose internal tools and secure data layers to AI agents. Enforce strict data security policies, field-level encryption, masking, and access controls across integrated systems to protect sensitive workforce metrics (ZEO Success/PII), legal records, and financial data. Collaborate with cross-functional BSAs, business cross functional teams, and security teams using RACI frameworks to clearly map out data ownership, system accountability, and technical execution roles across different departments. Ensure configuration standards, technical architecture diagrams, and SOPs are up to date and fully compliant with internal controls, SOX, and global privacy standards (GDPR/CCPA).

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
Deliver Modern Data Architecture: Transition fragmented cross-system data points from disparate G&A tools into a beautifully mapped out, resilient, and highly secure enterprise data model. Excellence in System Integrations: Establish scalable, automated data connections that allow Finance, FP&A, Procurement, HR, and Legal tools to communicate without operational friction, keeping sync latencies low and reliability high. Next-Gen Tech Adoption: Successfully implement secure AI extensions or MCP servers to optimize everyday business workflows and scale manual reporting processes down to self-service models. Advance Automation & Data Reliability: Develop solutions that strengthen data accuracy, eliminate manual tasks, reduce operational overhead, and increase system reliability across end-to-end business workflows. Promote Secure & Compliant Operations: Collaborate with IT, Security, and Audit teams to uphold field-level data protection, access controls, and strict compliance (SOX/GDPR) across all integration data layers. Establish Sustainable System Practices: Maintain clear documentation, SOPs, and configuration standards to ensure long-term scalability and consistent cross-functional operational excellence.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Architecture, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience). 8+ years of experience in system integrations and backend development (Proficient in REST APIs, SQL, JavaScript/Python, OAuth, and web services). Deep hands-on exposure to data structures and integration patterns within modern G&A systems—specifically covering tools across Procurement (Coupa), HR/ATS (Workday, Lattice, Greenhouse), and ERP/Expense (NetSuite, Navan). Proven understanding of LLM application patterns, AI integration tools, and modular protocol concepts like Model Context Protocol (MCP). Solid understanding of data security standards, encryption practices, access control models, and IT/SOX compliance frameworks required when handling sensitive employee, financial, and legal records. Strong familiarity with project governance frameworks, including using RACI matrices to clarify cross-team responsibilities. Exceptional cross-functional collaboration and communication skills; the ability to elegantly translate complex technical and data architecture blueprints to functional business partners across completely different business disciplines.
