AI Application Engineer

We offer flexible and cost-effective semiconductor fabrication solutions by maintaining fully equipped SMIF cleanroom environment, 100% equipment automation and proven wafer-manufacturing processes.We’re looking for innovative, passionate, and talented people like you to join our team.We’re searching for an AI Engineer to be part of our Fab Intelligence & Application Department diverse team of talent.What you will be working on:Monitor and maintain existing AI powered applications in production environmentTo track model performance metrics and detect performance deviationExecute model retraining procedures using established workflows and protocolsDocument model performance changes and maintenance activitiesDeploy and fan out newly introduced AI powered application across FabCoordinate with base models and collect equipment-specific data for model fine-tuningImplement model updates and enhancements using pre-configured pipelinesValidate model performance after updates and equipment integrationsIdentify image quality issues, data drift, and model performance anomaliesCollaborate with users to resolve application/hardware related issues affecting model accuracyPerform basic troubleshooting of AI pipeline componentsEscalate complex technical issues and work with vendors for resolutionDevelop and implement improvement plan to enhance the accuracy and response quality.Work with IT department to maintain clean, organized datasets for model training and validationCreate and update technical documentation for maintenance proceduresGenerate regular reports on model performance and system healthEnsure compliance with data governance and quality standardsMore about you:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related technical field3-5 years of experience with Machine Learning models, Large Language Models (LLM) concepts and prompt engineering for solution implementationExperience with established AI platforms. NLP frameworks and libraries like TensorFlow/ PyTorchExperience in lighthouse adoption/ deploymentFamiliar in data engineering, big data management, data modeling and warehousingProficiency in Python, C++, JavaScript and R programmingProficiency with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, matplotlib, seaborn, or similar) and web application developmentFamiliarity with MLOps platforms (MLflow, Kubeflow, or similar)Familiar with data manipulation libraries (pandas, numpy)Experience with SQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL)Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, Github)Basic knowledge of containerization (Docker) and version control (Git)Detail-oriented with strong organizational skillsAbility to work independently and follow standard operating proceduresWillingness to learn, agile and adapt rapidly to new technologies and processesSSMC is firmly committed to upholding equal employment opportunities for all individuals.
