JOB OVERVIEWWe are seeking a visually driven storyteller to be the creative backbone of our social commerce strategy. While the Social Commerce Executive operates the stores and live streams, you will fuel the entire ecosystem with high-impact, scroll-stopping video content. You are responsible for shooting, directing, and editing all shoppable video assets—from product demos and unboxings to live stream trailers and viral short-form clips—across TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and marketplace video feeds.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESA. VIDEO PRODUCTION & SHOOTINGIn-House Studio Shoots: Plan, set up, and execute professional product photography and videography shoots using DSLR/mirrorless cameras, smartphone cinematography, gimbals, and professional lighting grids.Lifestyle & Storytelling Content: Shoot on-location lifestyle videos that showcase products in real-world usage scenarios, aligning with brand identity and campaign themes.Live Stream Teaser Trailers: Produce high-energy 15–30 second promotional trailers to build anticipation for upcoming live selling sessions.Product Demonstration Videos: Create clear, compelling "evergreen" demo videos that highlight product features, benefits, usage tutorials, and unboxing experiences—embedded directly into product listings to boost conversion.Behind-the-Scenes (BTS): Capture raw, authentic BTS footage during live streams and studio operations for use in brand storytelling and employee advocacy content.On-the-Fly Capture: During live streams, identify and capture highlight reels, customer reaction shots, and memorable moments for immediate post-stream publishing.B. VIDEO EDITING & POST-PRODUCTIONEditing Software Proficiency: Edit raw footage using CapCut (Desktop/Mobile), Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Adobe After Effects.Platform Optimization: Adapt videos to platform-specific requirements—9:16 vertical for TikTok/Reels/Shorts, 16:9 for YouTube, and 1:1 or 4:5 for marketplace video feeds.Trend Integration: Stay on top of trending audio, effects, transitions, and text overlay styles to maximize organic reach and virality.Sound Design: Clean up audio, sync external mic/voiceover tracks, and add background music/SFX that complements the visual narrative.Color Grading: Apply consistent color grading and brand filters to maintain a cohesive visual identity across all content.Thumbnail & Overlay Creation: Design custom thumbnails, product callouts, and price/CTA overlays using Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or After Effects.C. CONTENT STRATEGY & PIPELINE MANAGEMENTEditorial Calendar: Work closely with the Social Commerce Executive to align video output with the live stream schedule, product launches, and seasonal campaigns.Content Batching: Plan and execute efficient batch-shooting sessions to ensure a consistent pipeline of at least X videos per week (e.g., 15–20 short-form videos).Asset Management: Maintain a centralized, cloud-based media library of all raw footage, edited videos, product shots, and branded assets for easy access by the wider team.A/B Testing Creatives: Produce multiple variations of the same product video (different hooks, CTAs, audio tracks) to test which performs best in ads and organic feeds.D. CREATIVE COLLABORATIONAffiliate Toolkit Creation: Produce and distribute videography toolkits (b-roll footage, product shots, script templates, and audio packs) for affiliates and KOLs to ensure brand consistency.Brief Interpretation: Translate briefs from the marketing/e-commerce team into compelling visual narratives without requiring excessive handholding.Trend Spotting: Proactively pitch new video concepts, formats, and viral challenges that the brand can capitalize on to drive traffic and sales.QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:Experience:1–3 years in Content Creation, Videography, Film Production, or Social Media Management.A strong portfolio demonstrating short-form video work for brands (TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts).Experience in product/commercial videography is a strong advantage.Technical Skills:Camera Operation: Proficiency with DSLR/mirrorless cameras (Sony, Canon, Fuji), smartphone cinematography (iPhone/Android), gimbals (DJI, Zhiyun), and lighting setups (softboxes, LED panels, ring lights).Editing Software: Expert-level proficiency in at least two of the following: CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Adobe After Effects.Audio: Sound recording and mixing knowledge (lapel mics, shotgun mics, audio sync, noise reduction).Graphic Design: Working knowledge of Canva or Adobe Photoshop for thumbnails and overlay creation.Platform Knowledge: Deep understanding of aspect ratios, resolution requirements, file formats, and trending audio/effect libraries for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and marketplaces.Soft Skills:Creative Eye: Strong visual storytelling ability—understanding composition, color theory, pacing, and hook creation.Speed & Agility: Ability to shoot, edit, and publish content within tight turnaround times (same-day edits for trending topics).Self-Starter: Proactive in pitching ideas; does not wait for briefs to start creating.Attention to Detail: Meticulous about quality control—no pixelation, bad audio, or typos in text overlays.WORKING CONDITIONSStudio & On-Location: Regular work in the studio for product shoots; occasional on-location shoots for lifestyle/brand storytelling.Flexible Hours: May need to work outside standard hours to capture time-sensitive trends or product launches.Equipment Responsibility: Responsible for care, maintenance, and inventory of all videography and editing equipment.
