About the RoleWe are seeking a Global Public Relations Lead to lead strategic communications and media engagement initiatives for our financial services business.This position brings together corporate communications, digital visibility, and financial industry expertise. You will be responsible for developing impactful PR programs that enhance brand reputation while supporting discoverability across search and AI-driven ecosystems. Working across regional and global markets, you will help shape brand narratives, strengthen relationships with media and influencers, and expand the company’s presence across earned, owned, and search channels.Key ResponsibilitiesCommunications Planning: Design and implement annual and quarterly communications strategies for designated business lines or markets, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and digital visibility priorities.Media Engagement & Influencer Outreach: Cultivate relationships with industry media, journalists, and opinion leaders. Drive media engagement initiatives, thought leadership opportunities, and content partnerships that increase awareness and visibility.Content & Search Visibility: Develop and review press releases, executive communications, and case studies, incorporating SEO and GEO considerations to improve discoverability and reinforce key messaging.Issues & Reputation Management: Track media sentiment and emerging topics across traditional and AI-driven channels. Support crisis communication efforts by coordinating messaging, materials, and timely content distribution.Integrated Campaigns & Events: Support the execution of major communications initiatives, including media briefings, industry events, and CSR programs, ensuring amplification across earned, owned, and search channels.Agency Oversight & Measurement: Manage external PR agencies and monitor campaign effectiveness through media analysis and reporting, providing insights and recommendations to optimize future activities.What We're Looking ForExperience & Background: Bachelor’s degree or above in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Chinese, or a related discipline. At least 5–7 years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, agencies, or financial media, including prior people management experience. Experience within financial services communications is required, while exposure to global financial institutions or cross-border initiatives is advantageous.Communications Expertise: Proven ability to execute reputation-building, product launch, and brand campaigns that deliver strong media outcomes and measurable business impact.Digital Awareness: Familiarity with search optimization principles and an understanding of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), with the ability to integrate PR activities with evolving search and AI discovery trends.International Exposure: Experience supporting multinational brands or collaborating across regions, with an appreciation for diverse media landscapes and cross-cultural stakeholder management.Stakeholder Management & Communication: Strong writing, presentation, and relationship-building skills in English. Proficiency in Chinese is an advantage to facilitate collaboration with colleagues, media, and stakeholders across APAC, including Chinese-speaking markets.Working Style: Resourceful and adaptable, with sound judgment, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
