The Hasbro Global Supply Chain Team manages a spend of USD1.3 billion of which $0.8 billion is ex-factory cost across a portfolio of brands (Action Brands, Games, Play Doh, Fashion, Preschool and Sports Action) and Directed Material Categories (Packaging, Resin, Play Doh materials, Tooling, and other key materials). The Global Supply Chain Team is accountable to plan, source, make and deliver Toys & Games to Hasbro quality & safety standards, on Time & in Full and at competitive costs through a global supply network of contract manufacturers, material suppliers, test-labs, model-shops, and toolmakers. For the assigned Directed Material (Packaging & Paper), the job holder defines, deploys and implements the Directed Materials sourcing strategy & establishes a world class materials supplier network, focusing on the business and Supply Chain requirement in terms of competitiveness, resilience, supply agility, sustainability, and innovation. The job holder is accountable to bring Hasbro Directed Material Sourcing Strategy to the next level incl. aggressive roadmap to leverage scale, mitigate risks, localize, protect quality/safety/availability, innovation. This highly strategic and collaborative leadership role requires to partner with, and influence key stakeholders across Global Supply Chain, Product Development, and Quality Assurance. This Sourcing Manager (Packaging & Paper) reports to the Senior Director, Commodity Management.

Key Responsibilities:

Define an ambitious key materials roadmap to leverage Hasbro scale, mitigate supply risks, localize, protect quality/safety/availability, innovation. Define, deploy and implement the ambitious Directed Material Sourcing Strategy and establish a world class supply network, considering Brand and Supply Chain requirements and building on the business priorities including Product, Innovation and Sustainability Roadmaps. Deliver 3 – 5% year on year sourcing productivity while planning for zero supply risk in all Directed Materials strategies and initiatives. Key initiatives to manage costs strategically via Buy Better & Spend Better levers such as Volume Consolidation, Low-Cost Country Sourcing, ‘Should be’ Costing, Direct(ed) Buy, supplier segmentation & consolidation, supplier performance management, Value Engineering and Smart Automation initiatives. This position includes significant business development activities in identifying and establishing the Directed Materials strategy, key initiatives and supply network for Hasbro’s ~$150M spend on Paper & packaging. Critical to success is to establish buy-in and alignment with key stakeholders on the strategy, initiatives and supplier network decisions. Lead, inspire & motivate the cross functional, cross organizational, and global team (incl stakeholders from Global Supply Chain, Product Development, Quality Assurance, Global Play Leaders, and Marketing), creating an environment oriented to trust, open communication, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort. Hold Directed Material suppliers accountable for their operational performance and, where/when required, manage the interface between Hasbro (PD, QA, Planning, Ethical) and suppliers. Develop & manage strategic supplier relationships (incl contracting, strategic negotiations, joint productivity agenda, supply market intelligence, new supplier identification and Business Review Meetings between senior leadership at Hasbro and key suppliers). Ensure that the team complies with all Hasbro and local country regulations and practices. Ensure that the suppliers comply with Hasbro Compliance and Sustainability standards

Experience & Skills Required:

Minimum 5 years of global procurement experience in resin, electronic components and/or apparel industry with relevant international exposure Bachelor or Master’s degree holder in related discipline preferably in Engineering, Procurement or Supply Chain Deep knowledge of the assigned materials industry in either an engineering, procurement, and/or sales position. Energy & Passion: Boundless energy & unlimited bandwidth to get the job done. Eager to do the right things for Hasbro and not constrained by job description, function, departmental thinking, working hours or time-zones. Internal Impact: Builds and maintains a solid network and partners intensively with Global Consumer Insight Organisation, Global Supply Chain and Commercial Markets to spark them to perform, influence decision making and integrate the business & functional priorities External Impact: able to influence respectfully senior leaders at manufacturing partners, material suppliers, model-shops, toolmakers and test-labs to address their issues and have them take ownership to drive operational excellence in joint product development, supply, quality, compliance and cost. Edge: strong negotiator with desire to Play to Win, forcing concrete actions & decisions from each meeting/discussion, willing & able to makes difficult decisions on people and external partners Execution: Consistent, hands-on and pragmatic performer, consistently deliver on all Procurement goals (Operational Excellence, Product/Material Costs Savings, Supplier Performance Improvement) and tackle any internal/external performance or relationship issue and proactive solve them Proficient in English and Chinese  Business Travel for 30% of time
