Animoca Brands realizes its mission via three integrated business pillars: operating Web3 businesses to advance blockchain adoption with native projects such as Moca Network, Anichess, The Sandbox, Open Campus, NEOM Web3 initiatives, and a regulated stablecoin project in partnership with Standard Chartered and HKT; providing digital asset advisory services including tokenomics advisory, liquidity provisioning, and institutional research to help external Web3 projects grow; and investment management, with a portfolio of investments in over 540 companies including industry leaders Pudgy Penguins, Yuga Labs, Axie Infinity, Polygon, Consensys, Magic Eden, OpenSea, Dapper Labs, YGG, and many others. Responsibilities:

Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements — game publishing and distribution, IP and brand licensing, marketing and partnership agreements, services agreements and SaaS/vendor contracts. Support the investments team on early-stage deals: SAFEs, SAFTs, token warrants, subscription agreements and shareholders’ agreements, including diligence and closing mechanics. Help manage corporate housekeeping across group entities — board and shareholder resolutions, corporate records, and coordination with company secretarial providers. Track regulatory developments relevant to digital assets across key jurisdictions (Hong Kong, Singapore, EU, UAE) and help translate them into practical internal guidance. Assist on intellectual property matters, including trade mark portfolio management and brand enforcement. Work directly with business teams to give commercial, usable advice quickly. Support on data privacy, consumer terms and platform compliance questions as they arise.

Requirements

Qualified to practise in Hong Kong or another common law jurisdiction, with 1–2 years’ post-qualification experience. Training or practice at a reputable law firm, or comparable in-house experience. Solid commercial contract drafting and negotiation skills. Comfortable with ambiguity, volume and pace. Priorities shift, and you will need to shift with them. Clear, plain-English communication. The people you advise are not lawyers. Sound judgement about when to decide and when to escalate.

Nice to have

Exposure to venture capital or M&A transactions. Familiarity with digital asset regulation, IP licensing, or the games industry.
