Role Overview The Senior Specialist – Sales Development is responsible for converting high-intent inbound interest from Enterprise organizations into qualified sales opportunities (S0 to S1) for the Enterprise Account Director team. This role sits at the front end of the sales cycle, driving fast, high-quality engagement with senior decision-makers evaluating ChatGPT Enterprise.Your core mission is to run rigorous qualification, book high-quality meetings, and ensure that the vast majority of opportunities you create are accepted downstream. You will uncover strategic business needs, validate technical requirements, assess buying readiness, and hand off well-qualified, high-value opportunities to the Enterprise team.Success in this role requires exceptional discovery discipline, strong business acumen, pipeline hygiene, and the ability to move with high velocity while maintaining enterprise-grade professionalism.Key ResponsibilitiesQualification &Customer Engagement● Engage enterprise inbound leads quickly via calls, emails, and digital touchpoints to maximize speed-to-lead.● Conduct structured discovery to understand use cases, AI adoption goals, stakeholder landscape, and buying process. Validate qualification criteria (BANT).● Position ChatGPT capabilities at a high level to generate interest and secure meetings for Account Directors.● Manage efficient handoff and context-rich opportunity notes to ensure downstream sales velocity.Performance &Productivity● Consistently exceed KPIs including speed-to-lead, meetings booked, opportunity acceptance rates, and qualified pipeline generated.● Maintain disciplined, accurate qualification notes, next steps, and opportunity stages within Salesforce.● Uphold high-frequency outreach cadences while preserving quality and accuracy for enterprise-level prospects.● Ensure “opportunity quality” through rigorous discovery, targeting best-in-class acceptance rates by Account Directors.Collaboration & Sales Alignment● Work closely with Enterprise Account Directors to align on qualification standards and target customers.● Surface patterns, customer insights, objections, and competitive intel to Sales Leadership and Product.● Maintain a customer-first mindset, delivering a premium experience even in early-stage conversations.Product Knowledge &Market Awareness● Stay up to date on ChatGPT product releases, security and compliance features, enterprise use cases, and integration capabilities.● Understand broader AI/ML industry trends to speak credibly with senior technical and business stakeholders.● Adapt quickly in a rapidly evolving product and industry environment.Ideal ProfileExperience & Skills● 3–5 years of SDR/BDR or qualification experience in SaaS, with exposure to Enterprise customers.Proven track record of booking high-quality meetings and generating qualified pipeline.● Proficiency in both English and Japanese is required to effectively manage client engagements in Japan and SEA. This role necessitates strong communication skills to cater to our diverse client base and ensure seamless interactions across these regions.● Strong communication and rapport-building skills across technical, business, and executive audiences.● Experience applying structured qualification frameworks (BANT)● Understanding of the complete sales process, including navigating sophisticated buying cycles and supporting or leading deal closure.● Ability to balance speed and quality, moving quickly without compromising opportunity rigor.
