The Manager, HNW Market & Competitor Insights provides structured, accurate, and timely competitive intelligence to support HNW product strategy, PSC decisions, product prioritization, and cross‑market alignment.This role owns the HNW competitive database, market scanning, and insight consolidation required to support Singapore, Hong Kong, and Bermuda product teams, enabling the business to stay ahead in a highly competitive HNW landscape referenced in multiple product strategy reviews.MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIESA. Competitive Benchmarking & IntelligenceMaintain and continuously enhance the HNW Competitive Database used by LT and PSC for decision making.Benchmark competitor products across HK, SG, and Bermuda using comparative dimensions such as premium competitiveness, feature sets, funding flexibility, guarantees, indices, benefit options, and liquidity.Monitor reprice cycles and new product launches by the HNW competitors across markets.B. Market Insights & Environmental ScanningTrack macro trends affecting HNW life demandConsolidate insights relevant to product strategy themes such as legacy planning, diversification needs and shifting client preferences.Provide monthly insight summaries into product trends across SG, HK and BMD.Prepare competitive insights sections for PSC and LT meeting packs.C. Cross Functional CollaborationPartner with Pricing to provide competitor pricing and funding position.Partner with Product Proposition to help translate insights into differentiators and value narrative.Work closely with Distribution to capture broker feedback and reconcile perception vs. market data.D. Support Feature & Enhancement PrioritizationSupply competitor driven context to prioritizationProvide data to inform whether enhancements are table-stakes vs differentiators across markets.ROLE REQUIREMENTSEducationBachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Finance, Actuarial Science, or related field.Professional designations (FSA, CFA, CPM, etc.) are advantageous but not required.ExperienceRequired5–7 years of experience in market research, competitive intelligence, life insurance analytics, or strategic product support within financial services.Proven experience analyzing life insurance product structures—especially across IUL, UL, WL, Non‑Par Adj, savings vs protection, and various legacy/estate planning needs.Demonstrated capability supporting multi‑region product teams, with an understanding of HNW market differences across Singapore, Hong Kong, and Bermuda/International.Experience generating decision-ready insights for senior leadership forums (LT, PSC, PMO, strategy reviews).PreferredExperience in HNW insurance or private wealth insurance markets.Background supporting cross-functional stakeholders (Pricing, Proposition, Distribution, Actuarial).Exposure to competitive research sources, regulatory filings, market commentaries, or reinsurer insights.Skills & CompetenciesStrong analytical & synthesis skills, and curiosity‑driven with a strong interest in understanding market shifts, competitor behaviour, and product differentiationAbility to produce concise executive‑level insightsHigh attention to accuracy and detailCollaborative mindset—comfortable supporting multiple downstream usersExtensive professional network within the insurance industries
