QC Certification Engineer

Job ObjectivesTake charge of quality control governance, product certification, and compliance processes. Take complete ownership of day-to-day QC operations with minimal supervision. Collaborate cross-functionally to enforce stringent quality benchmarks, certify outgoing products and internal linesEnsure rigorous adherence to ISO9001 and industry-specific optoelectronic standards.Perform line audits and report findings to superior, and facilitates audit findings closure.Duties and ResponsibilitiesQuality Control Governance: Lead and monitor Incoming Quality Control (IQC), In-Process Quality Control (IPQC), and Outgoing Quality Control (OQC) execution and compliance to ensure alignment with strict technical and manufacturing standards.Shipment Buyoff & Product Certification: Serve as the final gatekeeper for product releases. Conduct thorough shipment buyoffs, review final inspection test data packages, and formally issue Certificates of Conformance (CoC) and Certificates of Analysis (CoA) to guarantee shipments meet customer specifications.Line Audits & Internal Certification: Independently schedule and execute comprehensive line audits. Establish criteria for and formally certify QC inspectors, production operators, and support equipment/process qualification buyoffs.SPC Monitoring & Control: Continuously extract, track, and interpret Statistical Process Control (SPC) data. Proactively identify process variations or abnormalities and coordinate with engineering and operation teams to deploy effective containment measures.Core QA Tool Deployment: Facilitate and lead cross-functional problem-solving using 8D methodology. Actively maintain, review, and enhance Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and Control Plans.Qualification GuidelinesMinimum EducationBachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.Minimum ExperienceMin 3 years experience in similar work.Experience: Relevant hands-on experience in a Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or Certification role within the semiconductor or photonics manufacturing industry.Certifications: Valid ISO9001 Internal Auditor Certification is strictly required.Hands-on experience implementing and monitoring Statistical Process Control (SPC).Demonstrated proficiency applying QA methodologies, specifically 8D reporting, FMEA, and Control Plans.Specific Knowledge / SkillsProficiency in statistical software tools such as Minitab for data analysis, capability studies, and Gage R&R.Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools for building automated quality dashboards and performance tracking.
