Scopely is looking for a mid-level Producer of External Development to join Slate Development Group and contribute to an ambitious new AAA mobile ARPG game, based in Shanghai, China. What you will do The Producer will play a key role in planning and executing LiveOps initiatives to support the long-term success of our game. In the pre-launch phase, this role will focus on building strong LiveOps foundations, including event planning, monetization setup, asset workflows, and roadmap alignment to ensure launch readiness. Post-launch, the Producer will drive LiveOps execution in a live environment, adapting to operational rhythms and performance-driven iteration. You will work closely with cross-functional partners across multiple time zones to maintain alignment, ensure timely delivery, and deliver engaging player experiences that drive retention and revenue.
LiveOps Event Planning & Execution: Own end-to-end production of LiveOps events from concept planning through implementation, QA, launch, and post-event review. Build and maintain detailed schedules, track dependencies, and ensure on-time delivery. Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality events aligned with product goals. Monetization & Performance Alignment: Partner with Product and Design to help align events with monetization strategy, offers, and feature integrations. Work with Analytics to review performance results and support iteration planning based on performance insights. Roadmap Planning & Production Support: Contribute to short- and mid-term roadmap planning in collaboration with Product and Design, ensuring LiveOps initiatives are aligned with overall game priorities and development milestones. Maintain visibility into dependencies across features, events, and content beats to ensure realistic planning and smooth execution. Support additional production initiatives as needed, helping to drive alignment, mitigate risks, and keep cross-functional efforts on track. Cross-Functional Coordination & Execution Support: Partner with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, Engineering, Marketing, and Legal to ensure smooth planning and execution of LiveOps and related initiatives. Support alignment across stakeholders, maintain clear communication, and help remove blockers to keep projects moving forward. Production Operations & Process Support: Take a hands-on approach to Support additional production initiatives as needed, helping to drive alignment, mitigate risks, and keep cross-functional efforts on track. Risk Awareness & Issue Management: Proactively identify potential risks or dependencies that may impact schedules or deliverables. Escalate issues when necessary and collaborate with stakeholders to drive practical solutions.
What will you need:
3+ years of experience in game production, preferably with experience supporting LiveOps or live service games. Hands-on experience planning and delivering LiveOps events or content updates in a live or pre-launch environment. Solid understanding of event-driven engagement and monetization mechanics, particularly in free-to-play or mobile games. Proven ability to build and maintain schedules, manage dependencies, and drive execution across cross-functional teams. Experience contributing to roadmap planning and aligning LiveOps initiatives with broader product priorities. Strong communication skills and experience working with globally distributed teams across multiple time zones. Comfortable working with production and collaboration tools such as Airtable and Jira. Detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance data and support data-informed iteration. Fluent in Mandarin and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
