This is your chance to shape legendary play that lasts a lifetime.The Hasbro Global Supply Chain Team manages a portfolio of brands (Action Brands, Games, Play Doh, Fashion, Preschool and Sports Action) and Material Categories (Packaging, Resin, Tooling, and other key materials) across a diversified supply network. The Global Supply Chain Team is accountable to plan, source, make and deliver Toys & Games to Hasbro quality standards, On Time & In Full and at competitive costs through a global supply network of contract manufacturers, material suppliers, test-labs, model-shops, and toolmakers. Critical to the business and financial success of Hasbro Toys & Games is negotiating the lowest landed product costs and most competitive factory rates to deliver year-on-year Productivity target, impacting the Hasbro Toys & Games P&L. The jobholder will lead a team of Costing Analysts for the assigned product category and reports to the Global Sourcing Director for the assigned product category. Key Responsibilities: Member of the Global Category Sourcing Team:• Actively contribute to the definition of the global Sourcing Strategy and design of the global Supplier Network for the assigned category.• Accountable for the regional implementation and execution of the Global Sourcing Strategy and Supply Network redesign. This requires thinking globally and acting locally within the global supply network. Leads Team of Cost Analysts:• Accountable for the deliverables of the Costing team. Define goals for team members, manage performance, ensure transparency and full compliance with Hasbro policies, coach and address non-performance.• Engage and motivate team members to understand the company's strategy and how it relates to their daily work. 'Should Be' Cost Estimates Based on Product Cost Modelling:• Provide Brand teams, PD, Industrial Engineers and Sourcing with accurate and timely 'Should Be' Costs for New Product Development, Refresh and Carry Forward items for assigned categories. The objective is to identify product cost opportunities to meet project target costs, benchmark competition costs, challenge supplier cost estimates and define new productivity initiatives.• Apply and refine cost models for assigned categories based on latest cost data, factory rates and competitive benchmarks.• Provide regional cost benchmarking across the diversified supply network, including landed-cost analysis, to support sourcing allocation. Costing Process During Product Development:• Collaborate with the cross-functional project team (Product Development, Quality, Finance, Planning) to ensure product cost transparency and updates at required project milestones.• Lead the costing process during Product Development with the objective to meet Product Cost targets.• Lead the communication and timeliness of supplier quote submissions, supplier negotiation and upload into Hasbro costing systems.• Provide technical support to suppliers on Hasbro costing systems (such as P2M, PQS, E-connect).• Act as focal person on all product costing related issues between Hasbro and suppliers. Annual Rate Negotiations with Assigned Suppliers:• Join forces with Supplier Performance Managers to prepare and execute the Annual Cost Reduction (ACR) with assigned suppliers.• Negotiate factory rates based on 'Should Be' cost modelling, external benchmarks and top-down targets. Productivity Pipeline:• In addition to the product cost negotiation during Product Development and Annual Rate Reduction, the jobholder will support maintaining the >3% Sourcing productivity pipeline (>$20M P&L impact) via specific productivity initiatives across Industrial Engineering, Global Sourcing and Product Development.• Support Industrial Engineers, PD and Supplier Managers with cost modelling for Design to Value, Design for Manufacturing and Kaizen/Lean/Gemba events at factories. Shopfloor Reality Check:• Frequently visit the factory floor of assigned suppliers and/or potential suppliers for a reality check and benchmark on product cost assumptions, factory rates and 'Should Be' cost models.• Participate in the evaluation of potential new suppliers for the assigned categories. Years of Experience Required:Minimum 5 years' relevant working experience in costing, manufacturing engineering and/or sourcing roles, with at least 3 years at managerial level. Technical Skills Requirements:• Technical degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, Finance and/or a Product Costing related discipline.• Practical knowledge of factory rates, time studies, product costing, and local wages & benefits.• Good knowledge of key cost drivers for Toy & Games manufacturing such as molding, decoration, assembly and pack-out, and key materials such as resins, paper/packaging, paint and electronic components.• Proficient in spoken and written English.• About 20% travel to regional factories.
