As a Game Designer, you will design, tweak, and optimize the player experience. Your analytical skills, player insight, and creativity help craft in- and out-of-game experiences that engage and surprise players. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and work with every tool at hand to create and iterate player-focused designs that will delight millions around the world. As a Senior Game Designer on League of Legends: Wild Rift, you will own and evolve the foundational in-game systems and communication tools that drive the strategic depth and player coordination of Summoner’s Rift. You will design, implement, and optimize core systemic features—including items, runes, and the pin and signal systems—ensuring they are highly accessible, responsive, and clear for a mobile audience. You will collaborate closely with Balance and Map designers to integrate your systems into the core SR gameplay. You will utilize your analytical skills and player empathy to navigate complex design challenges, ensuring every structural adjustment aligns with Riot's design philosophy. Responsibilities:
Lead the lifecycle, architectural design, and live iteration of core in-game systems, including items, runes, pin flows, and tactical signals. Set quality and execution standards for structural systems, delivering high-clarity documentation and technical specs that enable seamless cross-functional implementation. Partner with the Principal Balance Designer and Map Designer to ensure all systemic changes, itemization overhauls, or communication features safeguard competitive integrity. Synthesize player feedback, high-level telemetry, and game data to diagnose systemic flaws or communication bottlenecks, driving long-term reworks and fresh feature additions.
Required Qualifications:
6+ years of experience in professional Game Design. 3+ years of experience in Gameplay System Design. Can create complex mechanics and systems with attention to the player impacts and downstream effects. Deep level of understanding, passion, and engagement with MOBA games.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience working on a live product. Is familiar with the LoL IP. Professional working proficiency in English.
