Data Quality Assurance Analyst (Fintech / Document Processing)

Duties1. Data Extraction ValidationReview financial and business documents and compare them againstdata extracted by customized softwareVerify the accuracy and completeness of extractedinformation, including amounts, dates, transactions and other relevant fields(if necessary)Identify missing, incorrect, duplicated orinconsistently formatted informationDocument discrepancies and work with developers toinvestigate and resolve the issuesMaintain reference datasets and verify expected outputsfor software testingPerform regression checks following software updates2. Application & GUI TestingPerform manual testing of web applications, dashboards, formsand document-processing workflowsIdentify functional bugs, usability issues, andunexpected application behaviorCreate and execute test cases based on productrequirementsReport bugs with clear descriptions, screenshots, andsteps to reproduceRetest the resolved issues and perform regressiontesting before software releases3. Document Analysis & Other Quality ChecksManually inspect financial and business documents to understandtheir structures, layouts and data fieldsIdentify variations, unusual formats and edge cases thatmay affect document processingHelp developers understand document formats and expectedextraction behaviorOrganize and maintain sample documents, test cases, andvalidation recordsPerform ad hoc data verification, reconciliation andother quality assurance tasksSuggest improvements to testing and validation processesRequirementsPrimaryStrong attention to detail and analyticalproblem-solving skillsComfortable with handling numbers, spreadsheets, andstructured informationAbility to identify discrepancies and investigateunexpected resultsGood written communication skills for documenting issuesOrganized, methodical and capable of workingindependentlyWilling to learn new software applications and internaltoolsAble to deal with confidential financial informationresponsiblyMin. Diploma or equivalent practical experienceGood command of written and spoken EnglishPreferable1-3 years of experience in data validation, manual QA, document processing or financial operationsFamiliar with financial documents such as bankstatements, invoices and transaction recordsGood at using MS ExcelBasic knowledge of software testing and bug reportingExperience in fintech, banking, OCR or AI-based documentprocessingAbility to read and understand Chinese financial documentsthat would be a significant advantageGood command of Cantonese
