Job DescriptionWe are seeking a motivated Data Migration Business Analyst to support public sector transformation initiatives. This role is ideal for fresh graduates or candidates with up to 3 years of experience in data, development, or information systems.You will work within a Data Migration team alongside business users, functional consultants, and technical teams to support end-to-end migration from legacy systems. The role offers hands-on exposure to data analysis, requirements gathering, and testing under the guidance of a Data Migration Lead.1. Requirements Gathering & WorkshopsSupport workshops with business users to:Document legacy data, screens, and reportsIdentify data cleansing needsDefine data mappings (As-Is to To-Be)Capture transformation rules and business logicClarify requirements and maintain proper documentation and traceability2. Functional CollaborationWork with Functional Consultants to:Support data field mapping and validationAssist in defining migration approachesSupport UAT activities:Prepare test scenarios and datasetsTrack defects and follow up on resolutions3. Data Migration SupportPerform data profiling and basic analysisIdentify data quality issues (missing, inconsistent, duplicates)Assist in defining cleansing rules and transformation logicSupport testing and validation of migration scripts and outputs4. DocumentationPrepare and maintain: Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM) Data cleansing and transformation specifications Workshop notes and requirementsEnsure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with standards5. Data Validation & TestingSupport data validation and reconciliation checksTrack and resolve defects during testingEnsure accuracy and completeness of migrated dataJob RequirementsEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related fieldFresh graduates or up to 3 years’ experience in: Data migration, data analysis, or software development Business analysis in IT projectsTechnical SkillsBasic understanding of: Data migration concepts (ETL, mapping, cleansing, transformation) Databases and SQLExposure to tools such as Excel, SQL, or ETL tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory is a plus)Ability to analyze and interpret datasetsSoft SkillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsGood documentation and organization skillsAttention to detail and accuracyProactive team player with willingness to learnDesirableKnowledge of Salesforce data migration and Azure tools (ADF, Databricks, Airflow)Familiarity with data migration practices (mapping, cleansing, masking, reconciliation)Understanding of public sector processesLet's talk about what's in it for you!Passionate people are Capgemini's Ace of Spades - join us to discover a career that will challenge, support and inspire you.
