Job SummaryThis role drives internal communications for Technology & Operations (T&O), ensuring clear, consistent and engaging messaging that aligns to the Bank’s priorities. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, it translates complex technology and operational topics into simple, impactful communications, while strengthening leadership visibility and employee engagement. The role brings together strategy, storytelling and insight to connect colleagues to T&O’s priorities, progress and impact, while maintaining strong governance, consistency and measurable outcomes across all communications activity.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy• Help drive the internal communications strategy for Technology and Operations (TandO), aligning to the Bank’s priorities and business objectives• Shape and sustain a clear, consistent TandO narrative that connects strategy, performance, innovation and people priorities into a compelling story for colleagues• Act as a senior trusted advisor to the Head of TandO Communications, and TandO leadership team on all aspects of internal communications• Translate complex technology, operations and business priorities into simple, relevant and impactful messaging at scale• Deliver integrated, multi-channel communications that drive clarity, alignment and engagement across a global workforce• Anticipate reputational, operational and employee engagement risks, providing proactive counsel and mitigation strategies• Elevate leadership communications, ensuring senior leaders communicate with authenticity, clarity and impact• Drive consistency, discipline and simplification in communication approaches across TandO, establishing standards and best practices• Partner across Corporate Affairs, Brand and Marketing (CABM) to ensure alignment between internal and external narratives where appropriate• Ensure robust governance, measurement and risk management across all communications activityBusiness• Partner with TandO senior leadership to position communications as a strategic enabler of business performance, organisational effectiveness and employee engagement• Develop and deliver communication strategies that support business priorities, operational delivery, technology initiatives and the workforce agenda• Build deep, trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, shaping how key messages are positioned, sequenced and delivered• Drive high-impact content and storytelling that brings to life TandO’s strategy, progress, innovation and contribution to the Bank• Enable strong leadership visibility and engagement through impactful communication platforms and moments (e.g. town halls, leadership messages, strategic updates)• Foster a culture of transparency and dialogue by strengthening two-way communication and feedback mechanisms across TandO• Use data, insights and feedback to continuously refine communication strategies and improve effectiveness• Partner with HR and other functions to support culture, engagement and organisational priorities across TandO• Connect themes and initiatives across TandO to ensure a cohesive, enterprise-wide narrative and avoid fragmentation• Work closely with Group content and CABM teams to amplify TandO stories internally and support external positioning where relevant• Define and track clear success metrics, demonstrating the value and impact of communications on engagement, alignment and business outcomesProcesses• Accountable to risk control owners and/or Group policy owners for the implementation of policies and control standards set by them, ensuring compliance, and operating within risk tolerance and risk appetite and building a culture of good conduct.People and Talent• Be part of a team of strategic communicators and advisors comfortable with advising senior executives; planning, delivering and measuring strategic communications plans; and continue to develop capability and ensure delivery of short and longer-term objectives• Share best practice to support creativity and build strong verbal and writing skills• Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values.  Set appropriate tone and expectations from the team and work in collaboration with risk and control partnerRisk Management• Identify, report and escalate issues, risks, business intelligence to leadershipGovernance• Ensure that tone of voice, messaging, and behaviours are aligned with the corporate narrative when we engage and communicate internally and externallyRegulatory and Business Conduct• Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank.
