APAC AI Lead Engineer

About the RoleOur client, a leading global financial services organisation, is looking for a hands-on APAC AI Lead Engineer to drive AI-powered innovation and productivity improvements across its Global Broking business.This is a business-facing technology role where you will work directly with brokers, trading desks and senior stakeholders to develop practical AI solutions, automate workflows and improve operational efficiency across APAC.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop and deploy AI-powered applications, intelligent agents and workflow automation solutions.Build solutions leveraging Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, AI agents and API integrations.Partner with brokers and desk heads to identify opportunities for automation, information retrieval and productivity improvements.Develop AI tools supporting market information aggregation, research, document processing and front-office workflows.Develop Voice AI and surveillance solutions, including cleaning, transcribing and translating voice recordings using multilingual semantic analysis and translation technologies.Explore Speech-to-Speech AI, speech recognition and emerging voice-based AI technologies to enhance front-office workflows.Build and enhance Voice Surveillance systems using Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) models such as Whisper and AWS Transcribe, supporting classification, predictive analytics and compliance monitoring.Lead AI initiatives from proof of concept through to production deployment and adoption.Collaborate with global AI engineering, technology, architecture, risk and compliance teams to ensure secure and scalable delivery.Drive AI adoption across APAC and deliver measurable business outcomes.Skills & ExperienceStrong hands-on experience in AI engineering, software development or technology delivery, preferably within financial services.Proven experience building and deploying LLM-based applications, AI agents, RAG and workflow automation solutions.Experience with Voice AI, Speech-to-Text, ASR, multilingual NLP, speech analytics or voice surveillance technologies.Proficiency in Python, APIs, cloud platforms, Git and CI/CD.Familiarity with Whisper, AWS Transcribe, AWS Bedrock, AWS Quick, Microsoft Copilot, Power Platform or similar AI platforms would be advantageous.Understanding of enterprise architecture, security, governance and production deployment.Ability to engage directly with front-office stakeholders and translate business needs into practical technical solutions.Exposure to capital markets, trading environments, communications surveillance or interdealer broking would be an advantage.Strong communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.Ideal BackgroundAI Engineering Lead | Applied AI Engineer | Tech Lead | Forward Deployed Engineer | AI Solutions Architect | Voice AI Engineer | FinTech Engineering LeadWhy Join?An opportunity to lead high-impact AI initiatives, work directly with front-office business leaders and shape AI adoption across a global capital markets organisation.Interested?Share your resume with [email protected] for further discussion.
