Presales Engineer / Project Manager (with AI Engineering Skills)

We are looking for a Presales Engineer /Project Manager who bridges technical solutioning with customer-facingdelivery. This is a hybrid role for someone who can translate business problemsinto compelling technical solutions, run high-quality product proposals and demos,and own the planning and execution of customer projects from kickoff togo-live. The ideal candidate possesses hands-on AI engineering skills —including prompt design and LLM evaluation — and can apply them to strengthendemos, proposals, and delivery outcomes. You will work closely with Sales, Solutions,Engineering, and Service Delivery teams to shape solutions, manage deliverytimelines, and help customers succeed.Key ResponsibilitiesPresales & SolutioningPartner with Sales to understand customer requirements and translate them into tailored technical solutions, proposals and demosLead product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and technical deep-dives for prospects and existing clientsRespond to RFPs/RFIs with accurate technical and functional documentationDesign and prototype AI-driven workflows and prompt chains that address specific customer use casesOwn the technical relationship during the sales cycle, addressing objections and building customer confidenceProject ManagementOwn end-to-end delivery of customer implementation projects, from handoff after sale through go-liveDevelop project plans, timelines, and resource schedules in collaboration with Engineering and Service DeliveryTrack project scope, budget, and milestones; proactively flag and resolve risks or blockersServe as the primary point of contact for customers during implementation, managing expectations and communicationCoordinate cross-functional teams (Engineering, Support, Design) to ensure on-time, on-budget deliveryRun project status meetings, maintain documentation, and report progress to internal and customer stakeholdersAI Engineering Skills (Applied)Apply prompt design and LLM knowledge to strengthen demos, POCs, and proposalsDesign, test, and refine prompts and prompt chains for LLM-based features used in customer-facing workEvaluate model outputs for accuracy, consistency, and safety; iterate on prompt structures accordinglyBuild reusable prompt templates and libraries for common customer use casesStay current on LLM capabilities (context windows, tool use, retrieval-augmented generation, agentic workflows) and apply them to sales and delivery scenariosCollaborate with engineering on evaluation frameworks for prompt/model performanceRequired Qualifications3-6 years of experience in presales, solutions engineering, project management, or a related customer-facing technical roleHands-on experience writing and iterating on prompts for LLMs (e.g., GPT, Claude, Gemini) for real product or business use casesStrong understanding of AI/LLM concepts: context windows, tokens, temperature, RAG, fine-tuning vs. prompting, tool/function callingProven ability to run technical demos and communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiencesExperience managing project plans, timelines, and stakeholder communication (PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum experience a plus)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsComfortable working cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering, Design, and Service DeliveryPreferred QualificationsExperience with prompt engineering frameworks or tools (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, prompt evaluation platforms)Familiarity with APIs and basic scripting (Python/JavaScript) to build quick prototypesBackground in SaaS, enterprise software, or B2B technology implementation/deliveryExperience with project management tools (Jira, Asana, MS Project, Smartsheet, etc.)Prior experience presenting to C-level stakeholdersWhat Success Looks LikeFaster sales cycles through compelling, well-scoped technical demos and POCsProjects delivered on time, within scope, and within budgetA library of high-performing, reusable prompts that reduce time-to-value for customersStrong internal collaboration between Sales, Delivery, and Engineering, and high customer satisfaction during implementation
