Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Data Analyst to transform data into actionable insights that support business decisions and improve operational performance. You will work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, solution architects, and data engineers to analyze business requirements, develop reports and dashboards, and provide meaningful recommendations based on data.Key ResponsibilitiesGather, understand, and document business and reporting requirements from stakeholders.Extract, profile, validate, cleanse, and analyze structured and unstructured data.Design, develop, and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations using business intelligence tools.Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for business improvement.Translate analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for business users and management.Define, monitor, and improve data quality metrics, KPIs, and reporting standards.Collaborate with data engineers to enhance data availability, quality, and reporting capabilities.Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), data validation, reconciliation, and issue resolution.Prepare management reports, presentations, and data-driven insights for stakeholders.Maintain documentation of business rules, data definitions, reporting logic, and analytical processes.Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality analytics solutions within project timelines.RequirementsEducationBachelor's Degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.Experience2 to 5 years of relevant experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Reporting, or a similar role.Experience working with large datasets and performing data validation and reconciliation.Experience translating business requirements into analytical and reporting solutions.Technical SkillsStrong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.Experience with at least one business intelligence and visualization tool such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Looker, or MicroStrategy.Good understanding of data modelling, KPI development, and reporting methodologies.Experience with one or more database platforms such as SQL Server, Snowflake, Databricks, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis or automation is an advantage.Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or similar cloud environments is preferred.Preferred SkillsKnowledge of AI/ML concepts, predictive analytics, and the analytics lifecycle.Experience working in Singapore Government, public sector, banking, financial services, or other regulated industries will be an advantage.Experience working in Agile project environments.Experience leveraging AI tools to improve productivity within the software development or analytics lifecycle.Soft SkillsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.Ability to present complex data insights in a clear and concise manner.
