Forward-Deployed Applied AI Engineer

Wine Room & Lounge.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify high-impact opportunities across business functions (operations, marketing, supply chain, HR) where AI can drive measurable outcomesDesign, build, and deploy AI-powered tools — including LLM-based assistants, automation pipelines, demand forecasting models, and customer analytics systemsIntegrate AI capabilities with our existing tech stack including POS, reservation platforms, CRM, and inventory management toolsWork directly with non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements, co-design solutions, and iterate based on real feedbackEvaluate and implement appropriate models, APIs, and infrastructure (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source LLMs, vector databases)Own solutions end-to-end: scoping, prototyping, deployment, monitoring, and documentationBuild internal tooling and knowledge resources that enable the wider team to adopt and sustain AI capabilitiesKeep current with the AI landscape and proactively propose relevant innovations for the business roadmapRequirementsTechnical Skills (Essential):Proficiency in Python and comfort working across the full stackHands-on experience with LLM APIs (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic Claude), prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and agent frameworksExperience building and shipping applied AI or machine learning systems in productionFamiliarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and standard software development practices (Git, CI/CD)Experience:Minimum 3 years of software engineering experience, with at least 1–2 years in applied AI or LLM-based systemsTrack record of shipping working solutions quickly in ambiguous or resource-constrained environmentsSoft Skills:Strong communication skills — able to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholdersCollaborative and adaptable, with comfort working across teams and changing prioritiesPreferred (Advantageous):Prior experience in F&B, retail, or hospitality technologyFamiliarity with F&B platforms such as Chope, SevenRooms, Lightspeed, or similarExperience with workflow automation tools (n8n, Make, Zapier)Background in data engineering, analytics engineering, or BI toolingWhat We OfferCompetitive salary with performance-linked incentivesDirect exposure to company leadership and genuine influence on business strategyAutonomy to choose your tools and shape how AI is adopted across the GroupA fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment with real career growth potentialStaff dining privileges across our outletsOther InformationEbb & Flow Group is an equal opportunity employer committed to the Tripartite Guidelines on Fair Employment Practices.
