Our platform aims to help users learn, practise, and solve problems more effectively through practical AI-powered product features.Job SummaryWe are looking for a Part-Time AI Engineer to support the development, testing, and improvement of AI-powered features for our platform. The role will work closely with the product and engineering teams to build practical AI solutions, improve AI output quality, and support ongoing product development.This role is suitable for candidates with strong software engineering fundamentals, hands-on experience or strong interest in AI development, and the ability to work independently in a fast-moving product environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, test, and enhance AI-powered features to support platform functionality, accuracy, and user experience.Integrate Large Language Models into product workflows, including prompting, content generation, question analysis, automated feedback, and AI-assisted reasoning features.Build and maintain backend services, APIs, and system components that support AI functionalities.Support AI workflows involving prompt engineering, embeddings, retrieval-augmented generation, structured data processing, and result validation.Process and manage structured and unstructured data to support AI product features, testing, and product improvement.Conduct prompt testing, model evaluation, output verification, and performance checks to improve accuracy, consistency, and reliability.Troubleshoot AI workflow issues and propose practical improvements to enhance system performance and user experience.Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to translate product requirements into technical solutions.Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code to support development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.Participate in technical discussions, testing phases, and continuous product improvement activities.RequirementsDegree/Master in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.Relevant experience in software engineering, AI engineering, machine learning engineering, backend engineering, or related technical roles.Experience or strong interest in Generative AI, Large Language Models, prompt engineering, embeddings, retrieval-augmented generation, or similar AI workflows.Good programming skills in Python and/or JavaScript, with the ability to develop, test, and maintain AI-related features.Understanding of APIs, backend systems, databases, software development lifecycle, testing practices, and system integration.Strong logical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail, especially in testing and validating AI outputs.Ability to work independently, learn new technologies quickly, and adapt to evolving product and technical requirements.Good communication skills and a responsible work attitude to collaborate effectively within a small and agile team.Preferred RequirementsExperience with machine learning, deep learning frameworks, model evaluation, or AI-related project development.Familiarity with cloud platforms, Docker, Git, CI/CD pipelines, deployment tools, or production monitoring practices.Experience with vector databases, search systems, data pipelines, or advanced data processing methods.Experience working on AI-powered product features involving content generation, automated feedback, intelligent search, or adaptive learning systems.Interest in mathematics, logical reasoning, learning systems, or practical AI applications for structured problem-solving.Previous experience in startup, product development, or fast-paced technical environments will be an advantage.
