Solution Architect (Data & Platform) - Robotics PlatformJob Title: Solution Architect (Data Architecture) Employment Type: Contract (6 months)Seniority: Senior Consultant (Level 3)Start Date: September 2026Industry: Government / Public Sector TechnologyAbout the RoleWe are building a national-scale robotics platform from the ground up — covering architecture, data engineering, security, and AI/ML integration. We are seeking a senior Solution Architect to own the end-to-end data architecture, including medallion layers, semantic layers, and business analytics. You will work under the direction of our Data Lead, embedded alongside our internal team, with full knowledge transfer as a core deliverable.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign end-to-end data architecture for the platform (bronze/silver/gold medallion layers, semantic layer, business analytics layer).Define data models, data contracts, and governance frameworks.Own schema design and data warehouse design decisions.Ensure architecture supports ingestion of IoT/telemetry, CCTV, building system logs, and is AI/ML-ready.Coordinate with partners to define interface frameworks for inbound/outbound data sources.Define governed access patterns for dashboards, APIs, and AI tools, working with security on access controls and audit logging.Assess available data to form hypotheses for data science and ML use cases.Ensure foundational architecture supports MLOps pipelines and ongoing hypothesis testing.Document all key architectural decisions, rationale, and trade-offs.Progressively transfer architecture and design knowledge to the internal team.RequirementsDegree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.8+ years of experience in data architecture.Proven experience designing and building medallion (bronze/silver/gold) architectures and semantic layers from scratch.Hands-on delivery on AWS using lakehouse or data warehouse platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake.Experience defining data contracts, governance frameworks, and schema design for large-scale platforms.Experience implementing automated data quality controls within pipelines.Must have served as lead architect for the majority duration of national or large-scale data platform projects.Demonstrated experience delivering comparable data platform projects internationally at city-level or above, beyond Singapore.Preferred QualificationsFamiliarity with ingesting diverse data types: IoT/telemetry, system logs, image/video data.Experience with robotics data formats and sensor/field-equipment data streams.Experience designing data infrastructure for GenAI workloads (LLM, RAG use cases).If you think that you fit into this role, do apply here and I will get in touch soonest.
