Position Overview:The Settlement Operations Executive is responsible for supporting the day-to-day settlement operations, including payment processing, reconciliation, and reporting. This role ensures the timely and accurate settlement of financial transactions while supporting the continuous enhancement of settlement processes, operational efficiency, and automation initiatives to achieve Straight-Through Processing (STP).Key Responsibilities:Process daily settlement transactions and payments accurately and in a timely manner for clients, partners, and card schemes.Perform daily settlement reconciliations to ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial transactions.Investigate, resolve, and process transaction disputes in accordance with company policies, card scheme rules, and regulatory requirements.Respond promptly to internal and external enquiries relating to settlement operations and payment processing.Review, maintain, and enhance departmental workflows, fund flow documentation, operational procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Identify opportunities to streamline and automate manual processes, supporting the implementation of Straight-Through Processing (STP) and operational best practices.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure the timely resolution of settlement-related issues and drive continuous process improvements.Prepare settlement reports and maintain accurate operational records.Assist with system enhancements, user acceptance testing (UAT), operational projects, and other ad-hoc assignments as required.Requirements:Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.Minimum 1–3 years of experience in settlement operations, payment operations, banking operations, financial operations, or a related field.Experience in the fintech, banking, payment services, financial services, or payment institution industry will be an advantage.Knowledge of payment processing, settlement reconciliation, transaction lifecycle, and payment operations.Familiarity with card schemes (e.g. Visa and Mastercard), FAST, GIRO, PayNow, or other payment rails will be an advantage.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.Meticulous, well-organised, and detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team environment.Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.Strong written and verbal communication skills.
