The position is based in Shanghai and will report to the Legal Director, China. Location: Shanghai, ChinaOn-siteFull-time What you’ll do The successful candidate in this position will be responsible for supporting the China Legal team across corporate, commercial and regulatory legal matters. The primary responsibilities are:
Managing company chop usage and maintaining chop control records for China entities, including coordination of approvals, execution, and proper record retention. Assisting with corporate governance and entity management matters, including company secretarial support, statutory filings, powers of attorney, authorization documentation, and document retention. Supporting the execution and organization of corporate and commercial documents, including contracts, board resolutions, HR-related documents, and other company materials. Conducting basic or preliminary legal research on PRC laws and regulations. Liaising with outside counsel and external service providers in the region as needed. Assisting with ad hoc projects and administrative tasks to support the China Legal team.
Who you are Must-have:
Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related field. 2–4 years of relevant experience as a paralegal, legal assistant, corporate governance, or legal operations professional. Proficiency in both Chinese and English, spoken and written. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Good to have:
PRC legal qualification or overseas bar admission. Overseas education or work experience exposure. Prior experience in an in-house legal team, law firm, or multinational company environment. Comfortable working across multiple stakeholders and able to take ownership of routine matters with supervision.
