Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and collaborative AI Engineer/Architect to join our team in building impactful, next-generation AI solutions in healthcare. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and productization of advanced multi-modal AI models and end-to-end agentic workflows. You will work at the intersection of clinical data and cutting-edge artificial intelligence, directly contributing to innovations in medical imaging, genetics, and clinical operations.ResponsibilitiesAgentic System Development: Design and build end-to-end agentic AI systems and complex orchestration engines tailored for healthcare applications.Model Productization: Lead the development, deployment, and lifecycle management of Large Language Models (LLMs), Vision-Language Models (VLMs), and multi-modal AI models. Ensure all deployed models are optimized for performance, efficiency, and enterprise scalability.Domain-Specific AI Integration: Apply deep knowledge of Medical Imaging AI and genetics to solve complex clinical challenges and improve patient care workflows.Healthcare Data & Architecture: Architect data pipelines and backend systems utilizing standard healthcare languages and interoperability frameworks, including FHIR, OMOP, and ICD codings.Database Management: Manage and optimize enterprise-grade databases, specifically leveraging SAP HANA and PostgreSQL, to ensure seamless data retrieval and system interoperability.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with clinicians, data scientists, and healthcare administrators to translate medical needs into technical requirements. Foster a positive, collaborative, and enjoyable team environment.Required QualificationsTechnical SkillsAI & Machine Learning: Proven track record in developing agentic AI systems, LLMs, and VLMs from research to production.Healthcare Informatics: Strong understanding of clinical workflows and standardized healthcare data models (e.g., FHIR, OMOP Common Data Model, ICD-10/11).Data Engineering: Proficiency in database architecture and querying languages, with specific hands-on experience in PostgreSQL and SAP HANA.Programming: Expertise in Python and relevant AI/ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain, LlamaIndex).Professional & Soft SkillsTeam Fit: Must be a phenomenal team player—highly collaborative, possessing a positive attitude, and enjoyable to work with in a fast-paced innovation environment.Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to tackle scalability and performance bottlenecks in high-stakes, compute-heavy healthcare AI environments.Communication: Strong ability to articulate complex AI concepts to both technical peers and non-technical medical stakeholders.
