Their work spans climate finance, carbon markets, forestry, and energy access and policy.As part of their growth strategy, they are investing in artificial intelligence, workflow automation, knowledge management, and digital products to improve operational efficiency, strengthen service delivery, and create scalable solutions for both their teams and their clients.The RoleWe are seeking a Technical Product Manager to drive our digital transformation and help shape our technology roadmap.This role sits at the intersection of business, technology, and product development. The successful candidate will identify opportunities for AI, automation, and digital solutions across the organisation, translate business needs into technical requirements, and oversee the development and adoption of new tools and products.The role combines product ownership, AI and automation implementation, and hands-on technical development. In the initial phase, the successful candidate will be expected to contribute significantly to hands-on software development, prototyping, workflow automation, and AI-enabled applications. As our digital capability grows, the role is expected to evolve towards greater product ownership, technical leadership, and strategic oversight.The successful candidate will work closely with consultants, management, clients, and external development partners to design, implement, and continuously improve technology-enabled solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDigital strategy and product leadershipDevelop and maintain the organisation's digital, AI, and automation roadmap.Identify opportunities to improve business processes, service delivery, knowledge management, and client offerings through technology.Evaluate and prioritise digital initiatives based on business impact, technical feasibility, and strategic value.Support the development of new technology-enabled products and services.Product ownership and deliveryAct as the internal owner of the organisation's digital products and technology initiatives.Gather business requirements and translate them into product specifications and development priorities.Manage product development from concept through deployment and continuous improvement.Monitor product performance and user feedback to guide future enhancements.AI, automation, and knowledge systemsIdentify, design, and implement AI-enabled workflows and automation solutions that improve efficiency, knowledge management, and service delivery across the organisation.Design and maintain AI-assisted workflows, internal knowledge systems, and operational tools.Evaluate emerging technologies and drive experimentation with new solutions.Technical leadership and developmentServe as the technical lead for digital products and systems.Review and challenge technical designs, architectural decisions, and technology choices proposed by developers and vendors.Design, develop, and maintain selected internal applications, integrations, automation workflows, and AI-enabled tools.Develop prototypes and minimum viable products (MVPs) to rapidly validate concepts and business opportunities.Develop and maintain the data structures, knowledge repositories, and information architecture that underpin the organisation's AI-enabled solutions.Developer and vendor managementManage relationships with external developers, implementation partners, and technology vendors.Prepare technical requirements and oversee the delivery of development activities.Ensure solutions are secure, maintainable, and aligned with the organisation's long-term technology strategy.Adoption and change managementLead the rollout and adoption of new digital tools across the organisation.Train consultants and support the integration of new technologies into day-to-day workflows.Gather user feedback and drive continuous improvement.Measures of SuccessDelivery of agreed roadmap milestones and priority products, tools, and workflows within agreed timelines and budgets.Measurable reduction in manual effort and repetitive tasks, with demonstrable productivity gains across the organisation.Improvements in proposal preparation and assignment delivery efficiency.Strong adoption, active usage, and user satisfaction across implemented solutions.Reliability, usability, scalability, and security of internally developed applications, supported by clear technical documentation.Identification and implementation of high-value AI and automation opportunities that contribute to long-term competitive advantage.Qualifications & ExperienceDegree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, data science, or a related discipline.4–8 years of experience in software development, technical product management, digital transformation, solutions engineering, or a related field.Demonstrated experience designing, building, and maintaining business applications, workflow automation solutions, digital products, or AI-enabled tools.Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and manage initiatives from concept through implementation.Experience working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including external developers, technology vendors, or implementation partners.Experience applying AI, workflow automation, or knowledge management technologies to solve practical business problems.Experience in a consulting, professional services, or other data-driven environment would be advantageous.Comfortable combining hands-on technical development with product ownership, stakeholder engagement, and business problem-solving.Technical SkillsExperience with several of the following technologies:PythonJavaScript and/or TypeScriptModern web application frameworks (e.g. React, Next.js)SQL databases and data modellingAPIs and system integrationsGit and version controlAI-assisted software development tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar)Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google
