A leading financial services organisation is seeking an Institutional Business Development Manager to join their recently established team in Singapore. This is a unique opportunity for you to play a pivotal role in expanding the institutional client base across the APAC region, leveraging your expertise in business development and relationship management within financial markets. ResponsibilitiesAs an Institutional Business Development Manager based in Singapore, you will be instrumental in driving growth for the institutional business across APAC. Your day-to-day activities will involve researching new sales opportunities within brokerages, banks, hedge funds, and other financial institutions. You will manage your assigned regions independently while collaborating closely with colleagues to share insights and support each other's development. By analysing market trends and competitor offerings, you will position the organisation's products effectively to meet diverse client needs. Negotiating commercial terms with partners requires attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills. You will also play a key role in maintaining compliance standards by collating necessary documentation for legal review. · Research, identify, and create new broker, bank, and hedge fund relationships as well as other sales opportunities within designated regions across APAC.· Manage your own region(s) by utilising established contacts and initiative to uncover potential leads that align with business objectives.· Analyse unique selling points of the organisation and competitors to maximise market positioning and deliver tailored trading solutions.· Identify client requirements and offer relevant trading solutions including API integrations, White Label partnerships, and Introducing Broker arrangements.· Develop all sales opportunities by presenting a comprehensive range of products such as margin foreign exchange, CFD instruments, and other derivative asset classes.· Negotiate commercial terms and partner agreements while liaising with legal, business intelligence, and dealing teams to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.· Assess sales and marketing initiatives to help achieve personal KPIs/targets while contributing positively to overall team success.· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial markets, participants, technologies, compliance guidelines, and local regulatory requirements for your region(s).· Collate target client corporate documentation for legal/compliance assessment and sign-off while ensuring confidentiality throughout the process.· Work closely with Sales Trading teams to analyse client feedback, suggest improvements to departmental processes, and provide regular management information reports.RequirementsThe ideal Institutional Business Development Manager brings proven experience in developing institutional relationships within financial services—particularly across FX, CFDs, shares dealing—and demonstrates deep knowledge of market dynamics. · Proven experience in business development or relationship management within financial services is essential for this role.· Comprehensive understanding of financial markets including foreign exchange (FX), contracts for difference (CFDs), shares dealing is highly desirable.· Ability to work dependably towards performance targets while maintaining a positive attitude within a team environment.· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English as well as relevant regional languages enable effective liaison at all levels.· Self-motivated approach combined with willingness to act collaboratively on shared goals enhances team success.· Professional appearance coupled with a polite manner ensures constructive relationships both internally and externally.· Strong analytical skills allow you to assess market trends and competitor USPs for strategic advantage.· Experience negotiating commercial terms or partner agreements demonstrates your capacity for responsible decision-making.· Familiarity with compliance guidelines and local regulatory requirements supports adherence to industry standards.· Commitment to ongoing personal/professional development through participation in training opportunities reflects adaptability.What's next:If you are ready to take the next step in your career by joining a collaborative team dedicated to institutional business growth across APAC, we encourage you to apply now!Do note that we will only be in touch if your application is shortlisted.Robert Walters (Singapore) Pte LtdROC No.: 199706961E | EA Licence No.: 03C5451EA Registration No.: R1988743 Raymond Gan
