Data Engineer – Business Intelligence

Role OverviewWe are looking for a Data Engineer with strong business engagement and BI capabilities to bridge business requirements with data and analytics solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand reporting needs, develop reliable datasets and build intuitive dashboards that support data-driven decision-making.Key ResponsibilitiesEngage business stakeholders to understand data, reporting and KPI requirements.Conduct requirements workshops and translate business needs into technical data specifications.Develop data transformation logic and curated datasets for reporting and analytics.Build and maintain data models using Amazon Redshift or cloud-based data platforms.Ensure data accuracy, consistency and quality through appropriate validation and controls.Design and develop interactive Tableau dashboards and reports.Build operational dashboards, ad-hoc analysis views and scheduled reports.Maintain data definitions, business glossary, dashboard logic and technical documentation.Support self-service analytics and enable business users to access and understand data effectively.RequirementsMinimum 3 years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence or data analytics.Strong SQL skills covering data querying, transformation and modelling.Hands-on experience developing dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, Amazon QuickSight or equivalent BI tools.Experience with cloud data platforms, preferably AWS, Amazon Redshift, S3 and AWS Glue.Experience in data modelling for analytics, including star schema or dimensional modelling.Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.Ability to translate business requirements into clear technical and data requirements.PreferredPython experience for data transformation or automation.Experience with AWS Glue Data Catalogue or similar metadata management tools.Exposure to Salesforce or other SaaS data sources.Understanding of data governance and data quality principles.Experience in large-scale, government or public-sector data environments.Interested candidates are encouraged to submit their resumes outlining their relevant experience and achievements to sherriyang(@)talentvis.com or click apply!**We regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates would be notified**EA License No: 04C3537EA Personnel No: R22106683EA Personnel Name: Yang Hui Shan, Sherri
