Company OverviewHMAP Pte Ltd is a Singapore-based manufacturer and integrator of marine navigation equipment and automation systems, collaborating globally to develop intelligent solutions for safe, remote autonomous vessel navigation.Job SummarySupport digital transformation by designing and managing AI/IT systems that enhance manufacturing quality, predictive maintenance, and production analytics for marine navigation equipment.ResponsibilitiesDesign, deploy, and maintain AI/ML solutions to improve manufacturing quality control, predictive maintenance, and production analyticsManage and secure core IT infrastructure including networks, servers, ERP/MES systems, and cybersecurity controls in manufacturing and office environmentsDevelop and integrate machine learning models for defect detection, demand forecasting, and supply chain optimizationCollaborate with R&D and hardware engineering teams to apply AI in navigation systems such as sensor data processing and anomaly detectionEnsure IT systems comply with Singapore’s Cybersecurity Act and relevant maritime and industrial data standardsEvaluate and pilot AI tools and platforms including cloud-based ML services, computer vision, and NLP tailored for manufacturing environmentsProvide technical support and training to internal stakeholders on AI-enabled tools to enhance operational efficiencyMaintain comprehensive documentation for AI models, data pipelines, and IT systems to support knowledge sharing and complianceRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, or related field3–5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and/or applied AI/ML, preferably in marine navigation equipment manufacturingProficiency in Python and machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learnExperience managing cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and industrial data systems including ERP, MES, and SCADAUnderstanding of networking, cybersecurity fundamentals, and IT service management principlesAbility to communicate effectively and collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, and business teams across multiple countries including ChinaFluency in Chinese (speaking, reading, and writing) is required due to collaboration with Chinese R&D engineers and customers (job related requirement)Familiarity with manufacturing quality systems such as ISO 9001Knowledge of IMO cybersecurity compliance requirementsExperience with marine electronics, navigation systems, or the maritime industryExposure to IEC/NMEA marine electronics standardsExperience applying computer vision techniques for quality inspection
