More details as below.Job DescriptionJob DescriptionApplication DBA (Apps DBA) is responsibleto perform database Administration activities such as database setup,defining/maintaining database objects, backup and recovery. He/she is alsoinvolved in database design and review, application SQL tuning and maintainingdocumentation meeting customer’s expectation. In addition, the candidate ispreferred to have experience in database migration to cloud platforms usingtools such as AWS DMS, Oracle OGG or Qlik Replicate.What will you do?- Monitor and optimize database performanceand availability, ensuring service levels are met and implementing improvementswhen needed.- Manage database operations andgovernance, including configuration, permissions, hardening standards, namingstandards, and documentation.- Ensure service continuity, leadingbackup/restore procedures and disaster recovery planning.- Lead database implementation and supportapplication teams, reviewing database design and recommending improvements todata models.- Establish and enforce database standardsand procedures across implementations.- Engage stakeholders and educate teams,explaining technical decisions and promoting best practices in coding anddesign.- Develop team capability, mentoring juniorDBAs, conducting training, and sharing knowledge across the organization.- Stay updated with database technologiesand contribute lessons learned to internal knowledge repositories.Qualifications- Minimum 2 years of experience in databaseadministration.- Experience with either Microsoft SQLServer or PostgreSQL.- Experience in database migrationprojects.- Specifically, migration from Oracle toMicrosoft SQL Server or Oracle to PostgreSQL.WHAT’S ON OFFERYou will be remunerated with an excellent base salary and entitled to attractive company benefits.
