Android Engineer

Responsibilities: • Design and implement new user-facing features for Android applications• Build stable, efficient, and high-performance code with strong attention to user experience• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features at scale• Integrate third-party APIs and data sources, including real-time and low-latency services• Write unit tests and improve robustness, reliability, and edge-case handling• Troubleshoot issues, fix critical bugs, and continuously improve app performance• Participate in technical and architectural discussions and contribute to long-term product direction• Work on performance optimization across memory, layout, battery, rendering, networking, and cold start• Support modularization, codebase maintainability, and large-scale refactoring efforts• Contribute to code reviews, best practices, and engineering quality standards

Requirements: • 5+ years of Android development experience• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and Android fundamentals• Deep knowledge of Android system architecture, lifecycle, and UI rendering• Experience with Jetpack components such as ViewModel and Room• Experience with Retrofit, OkHttp, and modern Android networking patterns• Hands-on experience with MVVM/MVI and modular app architecture• Proven track record of performance optimization and issue diagnosis• Familiarity with debugging and profiling tools such as Profiler, Systrace, Perfetto, and LeakCanary• Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
