AI Engineer

About the roleLeveraging over a decade of deep expertise in real estate and property management, Apex Asia Tech is evolving from a traditional operating business into an AI-native product and technology powerhouse. This is a high-autonomy role for an early core member of the engineering team. You’ll help build the platform from scratch and own complete features end to end: data models, backend services, the dashboard frontend, and integration with our AI agent services. The code you write will run real finance, property and operations workflows, and your technical judgment will directly shape where the platform’s architecture goes.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement backend REST APIs using Java + Spring BootBuild dashboard frontend features using Next.js / React / TypeScript / Tailwind CSS, including data views, forms, charts (Recharts), and PDF export interactionsDesign data models and write migration scripts on PostgreSQL (with pgvector) + MyBatis-Plus /FlywayWork with AWS cloud infrastructure (RDS, ElastiCache, SQS, S3, Secrets Manager), including deployment and operational troubleshootingWrite unit tests (JUnit 5 / ArchUnit) and end-to-end tests (Playwright) to uphold code quality and architectural constraintsCollaborate with product, finance, and operations teams to turn PRDs into maintainable, extensible technical solutionsQualifications and ExperienceBachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience5+ years of full stack or front-/back-end engineering experience, able to independently deliver complete features from frontend pages to backend endpointsProficient in React / Next.js + TypeScript, with a solid understanding of the App Router, componentization, and state managementStrong command of PostgreSQL relational database design (including pgvector or vector databases), SQL tuning, and of migration tools such as FlywayHands-on experience with AWS services, covering at least two of RDS, S3, SQS, ElastiCache, and Secrets ManagerExperience building, orchestrating, and integrating AI agent services and RAG applications using tools like LangChain, LangGraph, or LlamaIndex (Node.js/TypeScript or Python), including knowledge-base retrieval, conversational workflows, and business tool calling.Able to work from a PRD / technical design doc to independently break down requirements and turn them into a technical solutionHands-on experience with Docker and GitHub Actions CI/CDGood written and spoken English, and able to read, write and understand Chinese technical documentation/PRDsHow to applyPlease write in with an updated CV to [email protected] quoting the above job title.
