Partnering global energy majors, refineries and traders, we drive collaboration to accelerate the industry’s energy transition through operational excellence.Headquartered in Singapore with commercial and operational offices in Malaysia, the US, the UK, Norway, Brazil, and Uruguay, AET is wholly-owned by Malaysian energy logistics group MISC Berhad.We are looking for a Fleet Decarbonisation Performance Engineer to join our team!Purpose of the RoleThe role is responsible for driving improvements in AET’s fleet fuel efficiency and environmental performance through the effective use of vessel performance data and analytics. This includes leveraging performance analysis platforms to generate actionable insights, ensuring operational performance improvement measures are implemented and tracked, and evaluating their effectiveness over time. The role also ensures the availability of accurate, high‑quality performance and compliance data to support timely and informed decision‑making by key stakeholders.Key AccountabilitiesMonitor and manage the assigned fleet's performance and emission statistics, ensuring reporting is accurate, up to date, and of a high standard.Partner with the management team on sustainability initiatives, working closely with Chartering, Ship Management, and Commercial Operations to deliver bunker-saving programs across the AET fleet.Closely following up on fleet's energy conservation initiatives, covering key technical areas such as hull and propeller condition/performance, main and auxiliary engines, and boilers.Maintain clear, proactive communication with relevant internal and external stakeholders.Support the AET fleet in executing voyages in line with schedules set by the Operations and Commercial teams, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations.Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives as assigned by the leadership teamComply with Company's policies and Code of Conduct and Business Ethics (CoBE) and ensure all activities comply with company policies and regulationsAny other duties as assigned from time to timeRequirementsEducationMarine Engineer Class 1 or 2 Certificate of CompetencyExperienceMinimum 2 years of experience in vessel performance/energy efficiency management of the shipsSkills & AbilitiesDemonstrated involvement in fleet performance and emissions monitoring, with a strong focus on data accuracy and reporting qualityProven track record supporting energy efficiency and bunker‑saving programmes across vessel fleetsPractical exposure to marine technical performance areasHands‑on contribution to sustainability and environmental performance initiatives within shipping operationsExperience supporting voyage execution while balancing safety, efficiency, and commercial requirementsCapability in preparing performance dashboards, analytical reports, and management insightsEffective engagement and communication with a wide range of internal and external stakeholdersProficiency in MS Office and Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI and TableauWe regret to inform that only short-listed candidates will be contacted for an interview.AET is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
