About the RoleWe are looking for a Data Analyst to join an in-house strategy and transformation team, supporting business leaders in using data to drive better decisions, improve performance, and identify opportunities for growth and operational improvement.This role would suit someone who has developed strong analytical and problem-solving skills within a consulting, advisory, or professional services environment and is now looking to move in-house, with greater ownership over implementation and longer-term business outcomes.You will work closely with senior stakeholders across different functions, translating business questions into structured analysis, actionable insights, and recommendations.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyse large and complex datasets to identify trends, performance drivers, business issues, and improvement opportunities.Translate business problems into structured analytical approaches and measurable hypotheses.Develop dashboards, management reports, and performance metrics to support business decision-making.Conduct deep-dive analysis across areas such as operational performance, customer behaviour, productivity, financial performance, and business processes.Present findings and recommendations clearly to senior management and non-technical stakeholders.Partner with business teams to understand their requirements and translate them into data and analytics solutions.Support strategic initiatives, transformation programmes, and cross-functional projects through data-driven insights.Develop business cases, scenario analysis, benchmarking, and quantitative models where required.Identify opportunities to improve existing reporting, processes, and decision-making frameworks.Work with technology, data, and business teams to improve data quality, accessibility, and reporting capabilities.Track the impact of initiatives after implementation and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Analytics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or another quantitative discipline.Approximately 3–8 years of relevant experience, depending on seniority.Prior experience within management consulting, strategy consulting, Big Four advisory, business consulting, data/analytics consulting, or another professional services environment is highly preferred.Strong analytical and structured problem-solving capabilities.Comfortable working with ambiguous business problems and converting them into clear analytical workstreams.Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to present insights to senior business leaders.Experience developing dashboards, reports, and management-level presentations.Proficiency in analytical and visualisation tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Python, or similar tools.Good commercial awareness and the ability to connect data findings with broader business implications.Able to operate independently while collaborating across multiple business functions.Advantageous ExperienceExperience supporting business transformation, strategy, operational improvement, digital transformation, or performance management projects.Exposure to senior management or C-suite stakeholders.Experience working across multiple industries or business functions through consulting engagements.Experience moving beyond analysis into implementation, change management, or benefits tracking.Familiarity with automation, AI, advanced analytics, or data transformation initiatives would be advantageous.What This Role OffersUnlike a traditional consulting position, this is an in-house role where you will have the opportunity to stay close to the business, see recommendations through to implementation, and measure their longer-term impact.The position provides broad exposure across the organisation and the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership on strategic, analytical, and transformation-related initiatives.
