Serving global clients, Vinova delivers projects in IoT, blockchain, fintech, networking, and ecommerce with a focus on quality, flexibility, and speed.Job SummaryThe Solution Architect will design and lead the development of scalable, secure data architectures supporting diverse data types and AI/ML workloads, ensuring robust governance and enabling advanced analytics for large-scale platforms.ResponsibilitiesDesign end-to-end data architecture for the platform, including medallion layers (bronze/silver/gold), semantic layer, and business analytics layer to support scalable data processing and insights.Define data models, data contracts, and governance frameworks to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance across the core platform.Own schema design and data warehouse architecture decisions to optimize storage, retrieval, and performance.Architect ingestion pipelines for diverse data types such as IoT/telemetry, CCTV, and building system logs to enable comprehensive data integration.Collaborate with partners to specify interface frameworks for inbound and outbound data sources, ensuring seamless data exchange.Define and enforce governed access patterns for downstream consumers including dashboards, APIs, and AI tools, coordinating with security teams to implement access controls and audit logging.Analyze available data to generate hypotheses for data science and machine learning use cases, guiding data collection and architecture strategies.Ensure foundational data architecture supports continuous hypothesis testing, MLOps pipelines, and iterative use case development.Document key architectural and technical decisions with clear rationale and trade-offs to maintain transparency and knowledge transfer.Mentor and collaborate with internal teams to progressively build architecture and design capabilities.Required competencies and certificationsDegree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.Minimum 8 years of experience in data architecture.Proven ability to design and build medallion data architectures and semantic layers from inception.Hands-on experience delivering data platforms on AWS using mainstream lakehouse or data warehouse platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake.Expertise in defining data contracts, governance frameworks, and schema design for large-scale platforms, including implementing automated data quality controls.Experience leading architecture for national or large-scale complex data platforms, serving as lead architect for most of the project duration.Demonstrated delivery of comparable data platform projects internationally at city-level or above, beyond the Singapore market.Familiarity with ingesting diverse data types including IoT/telemetry, system logs, and image/video data.Preferred competencies and qualificationsExperience with robotics data formats and ingestion/processing of sensor or field-equipment data streams.Experience designing data infrastructure to support GenAI workloads, including AI-ready architecture for large language models or retrieval-augmented generation use cases.
