RESPONSIBILITIESSummaryThe Business Strategy Planning (BSP) Manager is responsible for driving the planning, governance, and monitoring of strategic business initiatives across the organization, with a particular focus on the spare parts distribution and servicing business. The role partners with internal departments, Regional Parts Offices (RPO), regional affiliates, suppliers and external stakeholders to ensure business strategies are aligned and key initiatives are effectively coordinated across the parts supply chain. The organisation’s performance is monitored through meaningful data, KPIs, and business insights, including parts demand forecasting and supply chain performance. At a strategic level, the BSP Manager supports informed decision-making, enhances organisational visibility and promotes continuous improvement through structured planning and governance.Key Areas1. Strategy Planning & GovernanceCoordinate and oversee the implementation of strategic business initiatives across the organisation, including parts supply chain and Regional Parts Office (RPO) strategies.Maintain a centralised overview of strategic initiatives to ensure alignment with corporate and regional parts business objectives.Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to support strategic planning and execution.2. Project & Performance MonitoringMonitor the progress of strategic initiatives and business projects, including supply chain and parts distribution improvement projects.Track project milestones, identify potential risks or delays, and provide timely updates to management.Support effective execution through structured governance and performance reporting.3. KPI & Business Performance ManagementDevelop and maintain KPI frameworks and reporting standards including parts availability, fill rate, inventory turns, and service level metrics.Monitor organisational and regional performance against agreed business objectives.Analyse performance trends and recommend opportunities for continuous improvement across the parts supply chain.4. Business Intelligence & Strategic AnalysisCollect, consolidate and analyse business data to support strategic planning and decision-making.Develop meaningful reports, dashboards and business insights for management.Lead demand forecasting and supply/inventory performance analysis through data-driven recommendations, working closely with Regional Parts Offices and affiliates.5. Pricing & Market AnalysisConduct pricing and market analysis to support business competitiveness in the spare parts market.Monitor market trends, competitive positioning and regional pricing insights.Provide recommendations to support pricing governance and strategic decision-making.6. Stakeholder CollaborationPartner with internal departments, Regional Parts Offices, regional affiliates, suppliers and other stakeholders to improve information sharing and strategic alignment.Build effective working relationships to support the successful delivery of business initiatives.7. Process Improvement & GovernanceDrive the development and continuous improvement of business planning processes, governance practices and reporting standards.Promote consistency, transparency and operational excellence across the organisation.REQUIREMENTSExperienceMinimum 10 years of relevant working experience, with a strong track record in Parts Supply, Regional Parts Office (RPO), and/or Supply Chain Management (SCM) within an industry such as automotive, HVAC/electrical appliances, or industrial equipment.Prior experience in a regional or intra-group parts distribution and servicing business model is strongly preferred.Demonstrated experience in strategy planning, business governance, or business performance management at a senior/managerial level.Experience working with regional affiliates or cross-border business units is an advantage.EducationBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. A relevant Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., APICS/CSCP, Six Sigma) is an advantage.Technical & Functional SkillsStrong understanding of parts supply chain dynamics, including demand forecasting, inventory management, and pricing strategy.Proficiency in business intelligence and reporting tools; experience with ERP/EPM systems SAP S/4 HANA is a plus.Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft tools e.g. Power BI for reporting and management presentations.Other RequirementsStrong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior management and regional affiliates.Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-cultural, and matrixed regional environment.Proficiency in English is a must; additional regional languages (e.g. Japanese, etc) is an advantage given the regional affiliate coordination.
