Role Overview: This role acts as the operational engine driving the daily execution of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) capability development project for the precision engineering sector. This role focuses on project management, event management, administrative follow-through, and directly assisting the Project Director in engaging small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The candidate will ensure all project timelines, workshop targets, and reporting benchmarks are met smoothly, while maintaining flexibility to support wider association initiatives when required. Reports directly to the Project Director, AI Strategy & Industry Transformation. Works closely with the broader association secretariat team. Key Responsibilities: • Project Execution & Coordination: Manage day-to-day operations of the AI adoption initiative, tracking project timelines, action items, and ensuring all administrative milestones are delivered on schedule. • Workshop & Event Management: Conceptualise and execute 4 technical AI workshops annually, handling logistics, speaker procurement, venue coordination, marketing, and postevent attendance tracking. • Adopter Outreach & Pipeline Tracking: Manage broad-based outreach campaigns to identify prospective SME adopters, maintaining a systematic CRM or tracking log of all member interactions and leads. Establish and maintain project KPIs, dashboards and reporting mechanisms. • Advisory & Referral Support: Assist the Project Director in 1-1 advisory sessions (which include documenting operational gaps, following up on action items, and tracking referrals made to pre-approved solutions list). • Playbook Coordination & Data Management: Collect data, compile case studies, and manage timelines for the co-creation of the industry playbook. Track and report download analytics and readership metrics. • Ad-Hoc Secretariat Support: Provide operational and logistical assistance to other association initiatives, trade shows, or cross-functional events as directed by leadership, without disrupting core project deadlines.
