Forward Deployed Engineer – Multi-Cloud Platform

As a Forward Deployed Engineer at NCS, you will workhands-on, designing, rapidly building and maintaining AI applications built onvarious Cloud environments such as GCP, AWS, Azure.In this position, your responsibilities will includedesigning, deploying, and supporting various Cloud AI solutions and leverage onservices such as Gemini Enterprise, AWS Bedrock, Cloud Run, Google KubernetesEngine, Google Cloud VMware Engine, and Compute Engine. Your experience shouldcover secure foundations/landing zone delivery, cloud migrations, LLMOps,Agentic Workflows and Rapid Prototyping. A deep understanding of DevOpsprinciples, platform delivery, and application/developer enablement isessential. You will also work with a wide range of applications andarchitectures, requiring a solid comprehension of APIs, software developmentpractices, networking concepts, and security best practices.You will work closely with technical andnon-technical stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery, provideongoing support, and identify continuous improvement and optimisationopportunities. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are a must,as is the ability to adapt to evolving requirements and technologies in thedynamic cloud landscape.Most of all, we'll want you to have strongconsulting skills, a customer-first attitude, a keen focus on secure softwaredelivery, and a desire to add value both internally and externally.Additional InformationPrevious experience in a similar role as an AI focused Engineer developing, implementing or managing secure Google Cloud/AWS/Azure based AI solutions at an enterprise level Strong exposure to AI technologies such as Gen AI, Agentic AI, LLMOps, rapid prototyping, finetuning AI Apps performance etc..Mandatory hands-on AI experience of at least 4 years, with at least one year hands-on experience in different cloud environments.Previous experience of working on Government projectsPrevious experience building infrastructure as code with Terraform at an advanced levelAbility to script in at least one of the following languages: Python, BashApplied knowledge of CI/CD concepts and deployment of platform solutionsSolutions experience leveraging core services such as Compute Engine, App Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, etc and their equivalent in respective cloud platforms.Be well-versed in networking concepts, including virtual private clouds (VPCs), subnets, load balancing, firewalls, and DNSSecurity-focused with a deep understanding of cloud security principles, threats, and mitigation techniquesHold one more of the following Professional Level Cloud certifications: Cloud Architect, Cloud DevOps Engineer, Cloud Developer or other professional-level Cloud certificationsResponsibility·      Design and build solutions leveraging upon AI technologies·      Develop traditional APIs, services and backend jobs in bothserver and GCP, AWS, Azure environments·      Design and build solutions for transition from traditional,legacy platforms to Agentic workflows ·      Refactor existing multi-channel architecture providingdifferentiated end-user experiences by leveraging AI Technologies, containerizationand cloud technology·      Follow governance and microservices development guidingprinciples in ensuring that the best practices are adhered to as part of thedevelopment cycle·     Demonstrate ownership of technical designs, codedevelopment, and component test execution to align with functionalspecification.·     Use configuration management and integration/buildautomation tools to deploy application code. ·     Perform code scans, code reviews and provide criticalsuggestions for fixes and improvements ·     Support issue analysis and resolution activities during testand production support phases ·     Collaborate within a project team comprised of talentedemployees with diverse and complementary skillsThe Requirements:Mandatory – Hold one or more of Professional Level Cloud certifications: Generative AI Leader, Machine Learning Engineer, Cloud Architect, Cloud DevOps Engineer, Cloud Developer or other professional-level Cloud certifications·       Minimum 6-7 years of relevant IT experience, preferably with an SIcompany·       Technically hands-on IT professional and equipped with one or more of thefollowing languages, tools and technologies:o  Python, Java (minimum version 8),J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernateo  AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex, AzureFoundryo  Strong exposure to various LLMsleveraging on RAG, Agentic workflows, appropriate design patterns and bestpracticeso  Strong hands-on experience withcontainerization and cloud technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, AWS EKS/ECS, Fargate,Cloud native services such as GCP Cloud Run/AWS Lambda) as well as DevOps andtesting tools (Git, SVN, TFS, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Nexus, Selenium,SonarQube, Fortify)o  Strong understanding of security aspart of designo  Strong exposure to API ManagementFrameworks such as Apigee, WSO2 etco  Good exposure to Javascript frameworkssuch as React.js, Angular.js etco  Databases such as MySQL, MS SQL,Oracleo  BigQuery, AWS native NoSQL such as DynamoDB,Aurora, MS Fabrico  Strong exposure to cloud-nativeapplication architecture etco  Good understanding of fine tuningperformance in production systems o  Hands on in troubleshooting productionissues·      Experience in softwaredevelopment and maintenance lifecycle·       Strong problem solving skills with the ability to engage all stakeholdersup to Director Level·      Strong verbal and writtencommunication skills with excellent interpersonal and leadership qualities
