Operations Specialist – Map Operations

This is a 12-month contract role under Optimum Solutions.This role supports our client, a leading Southeast Asian superapp that offers a wide range of services, including mobility, food delivery, and digital payments.Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM. (inclusive of a 1-hour lunch break)About the role:• The Operations Specialist is an integral team member of the GEO tech family that is responsible for improving the map data by working closely with product and engineering teams. You will be supporting the local & regional mapping initiatives to provide a seamless experience to our customers.Responsibilities:• Collecting data using proprietary software and internal tools• Monitor, analyze, and grade large sets of geospatial data through regular validation.• Manage and coordinate the daily operations of our mapping team, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality geospatial data to relevant stakeholders.• Perform regular quality checks, translation & transcription where applicable• Support autonomous-vehicle-grade mapping activities.• Coordinate with cross-functional and local transport teams to drive projects• Support physical AI data operations and related mapping initiatives.• Support merchant intelligence pilots and scale-up initiatives.• Support the team leader/manager in data analysis and reports• Adhere to confidentiality procedures and policies when collecting, storing, and sharing dataQualifications:• Strong interest in maps and geospatial data, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• Experience in operations, geospatial data, mapping, data annotation, marketplace operations, or pilot execution.• Detail-oriented and metrics-driven, with an understanding of how maps influence product and customer experience.• Strong capability in SOP design, QA frameworks, root-cause analysis, and process improvement.• Self-driven and motivated, with the ability to drive continuous process and project improvements.• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.• Ability to work with ambiguity and convert early-stage pilots into structured, scalable operations.Nice-to-Have• Knowledge of geospatial data sources such as OpenStreetMap is a plus.• Class 3A driving license.• Proficiency in QGIS and Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.
