That makes our Host the first and most important person our guests meet. You set the pace of the restaurant on every service.About the roleAs Host, you’ll run the front of house flow: the queue, the seating and the final bill. You’ll keep a busy, walk-in-only restaurant moving smoothly and make sure every guest feels looked after from the moment they join the line.Key responsibilitiesQueue managementGreet every guest warmly and manage the walk-in queue during peak hoursGive accurate wait-time estimates and keep waiting guests updatedKeep the queue orderly, comfortable and friendly, and handle impatient guests calmly and professionallySeating and table turnoverPlan seating to make the most of the restaurant’s capacity, matching party sizes to tablesCoordinate with the service and kitchen teams to track table status and speed up turnoverRearrange or combine tables as needed during busy periodsBilling and paymentProcess bills and payments accurately at the end of each mealHandle cash, card and digital payments, and reconcile collections at the end of each shiftAnswer billing questions and resolve discrepancies politelyGuest experienceBe the face of Casa Vostra at the entrance and keep the host stand neatHandle guest feedback and complaints, and escalate to the Manager on Duty (MOD) when neededSupport the floor team during service when requiredRequirementsAt least 1 year of experience as a host, cashier or front-of-house team member in a busy restaurant, café or retail setting. Candidates with less experience who have the right attitude are welcome to apply.Confident, friendly and calm under pressureStrong communication skills in English.
