We go beyond strategy and provide end to end design, build and implementation of real life data environments and have some of the best architects, project managers, business analysts, data scientists, big data engineers, developers and consultants in the region.We are looking for a SAS Data Engineer to join our Consulting practice, supporting clients across data transformation, regulatory, and analytics initiatives.In this role, you will work in a client-facing environment, delivering end-to-end data solutions using SAS and modern data platforms. You will be expected to combine strong technical capabilities with structured problem solving, stakeholder engagement, and delivery discipline. Your key responsibilitiesDeliver end-to-end data engineering solutions using SAS across client engagementsDesign and develop ETL pipelines and data workflows using Base SAS, SAS DI Studio, or SAS ViyaWork closely with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and translate into scalable data solutionsPerform data transformation, validation, and reconciliation to ensure high data qualityOptimize SAS programs for performance and efficiency in enterprise environmentsSupport integration with data warehouses, cloud platforms, and downstream analytics toolsParticipate in client workshops, discussions, and presentations where requiredContribute to project delivery timelines, documentation, and governance standardsDevelop and implement techniques and analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualisation software.Apply data mining, data modelling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyse information from large structured and unstructured datasets.Visualise, interpret, and report data findings and may create dynamic data reports as well.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data architects, analysts, and client teamsSkills and attributes for successAssociates (1-2 years) Foundational experience in SAS (Base SAS, Macros, SQL)Understanding of ETL concepts and data lifecycleExposure to relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata)Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skillsGood communication skills with ability to work in a team-based, client environmentSenior Associate (3–6 years)Proven experience delivering data engineering solutions using SAS in enterprise environmentsStrong hands-on experience with SAS DI Studio / SAS Viya / SAS GridProficiency in complex SQL, performance tuning, and large-scale data processingExperience working in client-facing roles or consulting engagementsAbility to manage workstreams, prioritize deliverables, and communicate with stakeholdersExposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or modern data tools (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks) is advantageousTo qualify for the role you must haveDegree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related fieldExperience with Consulting/Professional Services industryIdeally, you’ll also haveAbility to work in fast-paced, project-based environmentsStrong stakeholder management and communication skillsComfortable with ambiguity and evolving client requirementsFocus on delivery quality, timelines, and outcomesCollaborative mindset with ability to work across business and technical teamsWhat we offerEY offers a competitive remuneration package commensurate with your work experience where you’ll be rewarded for your individual and team performance.
