Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly capable Projects & Procurement Lead to drive end-to-end strategic planning, procurement, and execution of key logistics initiatives across SPX Express.This role sits at the intersection of network planning, procurement, and operational strategy, responsible for ensuring SPX scales efficiently through robust capacity planning, strong vendor ecosystems, and data-driven decision-making.You will lead strategic initiatives across network expansion, new logistics products, cost optimisation, and operational transformation, working closely with senior stakeholders across Operations, Finance, Product, and Regional teams.Key Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Planning & Project LeadershipLead end-to-end planning and execution of strategic SPX projectsDrive initiatives such as new service rollouts, operational improvements, and strategic growth initiativesEvaluate and execute new business opportunities including service expansion and new logistics solutionsDevelop project roadmaps, business cases, implementation plans, timelines, and performance tracking frameworksManage project risks, dependencies, and cross-functional alignment to ensure successful delivery2. Procurement & Vendor ManagementOversee procurement activities for operational and strategic requirements across SPX ExpressLead vendor sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, contracting, and performance managementBuild and manage supplier relationships to ensure cost efficiency, reliability, and service qualityDrive procurement governance, compliance, and risk management standardsPartner with Business Intelligence & Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and cost planning3. Business Analysis & Problem SolvingAnalyse large and complex datasets to identify operational gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunitiesTranslate insights into actionable recommendations for leadership decision-makingConduct deep-dive analyses across key topics such as:Driver incentive effectivenessDriver performance and productivityService quality improvement initiativesCost efficiency and optimisation opportunities4. Cost Optimisation & Operational EfficiencyDrive initiatives to reduce operational cost while maintaining service qualityIdentify opportunities to improve procurement efficiency and vendor cost structuresSupport development of savings pipelines in partnership with Finance and Operations stakeholdersContinuously improve processes to enhance productivity and execution efficiency5. Stakeholder Management & Execution LeadershipCollaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across Operations, Commercial, Product, Finance, Legal, Government Relations, and Regional teams.Lead project working groups and ensure alignment across multiple stakeholdersDrive structured decision-making in a fast-paced and ambiguous environmentMentor junior team members and contribute to capability building within the functionJob Requirements ExperienceBachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Economics, or a related field.Minimum 5 years of experience in strategy, project management, procurement, operations, consulting, or supply chain-related rolesStrong experience in logistics, e-commerce, transportation, or high-growth technology environmentsProven track record of leading cross-functional projects from ideation to executionPrior experience in procurement, vendor management, or commercial negotiations is highly preferredSkills & Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work with large datasetsAdvanced proficiency in Excel; SQL / Tableau / Power BI is a plusStrong project management and execution capabilitiesStrong stakeholder management and influencing skillsStrong business acumen with ability to balance cost, operations, and customer impactAbility to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environmentsExcellent communication and structured thinking skills
