Job SummaryZairoo.ai is looking for a hands-on Senior AI Engineer to improve the accuracy, reliability and quality of our AI-powered mathematics tutoring platform. You will work closely with engineers and mathematics specialists to enhance mathematical reasoning, evaluate AI responses and improve the overall tutoring experience.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and enhance AI/LLM-powered tutoring features to improve user learning outcomesIncrease mathematical reasoning accuracy and improve AI response quality through iterative developmentDesign and implement prompts, reasoning workflows, and evaluation methods to optimize AI tutoring effectivenessAnalyze AI failure cases and apply corrective improvements to reduce errorsBuild and maintain validation mechanisms to minimize incorrect AI answers in the tutoring platformSupport retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), knowledge retrieval, and AI model integration to enhance system capabilitiesCollaborate with mathematics specialists to translate teaching requirements into effective AI solutionsMonitor production AI systems and drive continuous improvements to maintain high performance and reliabilityRequired competencies and certificationsDegree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related fieldProven experience in AI, LLM, or Generative AI developmentStrong Python programming skills applied to AI development and problem-solvingExpertise in prompt engineering and AI model evaluation techniquesSolid understanding of mathematical reasoning principles relevant to AI tutoringAbility to work independently and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teamsPreferred competencies and qualificationsExperience with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector databases, or agentic AI systemsBackground in EdTech or educational AI applicationsExperience in mathematics teaching or tutoring rolesFamiliarity with Singapore Primary Mathematics curriculumKnowledge of multimodal AI technologies or optical character recognition (OCR)
