We treat the business as our own – moving fast, thinking like founders, and winning together.THE OPPORTUNITYDigital capability is the critical enabler of UI’s next phase of growth – powering a superb consumer and customer experience alongside world-class operational excellence.As Chief Digital Officer, you will own the digital, data, and AI agenda end-to-end. You will set the strategy, build the team, and deliver measurable business outcomes across five interconnected pillars:Marketing Excellence – data-driven consumer insights, personalisation, and brand activation.Customer Experience – digital-first engagement, e-commerce enablement, and omnichannel integration.Connected Planning – demand sensing, supply planning, and integrated business planning.Operational Excellence – process automation, ERP transformation (SAP S/4HANA), and cost efficiency.Employee Experience – modern productivity tools, self-service analytics, and ways of working.This is a hands-on strategic leadership role. You will act as the bridge between business ambition and technology execution – translating commercial priorities into digital capability and embedding AI into core workflows.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESStrategy & RoadmapDefine and own the multi-year digital, data, and AI strategy aligned to UI’s commercial plan.Manage the digital investment portfolio, balancing quick wins with platform bets.Establish the AI Hub in Singapore as a centre of excellence for applied AI and advanced analytics.ERP & Platform TransformationLead UI’s transition to SAP S/4HANA, designing fit-for-purpose ERP capabilities for a complex, cross-border B2B operation.Rationalise and integrate the technology landscape across CRM (Salesforce), planning (Anaplan/Kinaxis), data (Databricks), and business intelligence tools.Data & AI LeadershipBuild a scalable data architecture – from ingestion and integration to governance and self-service consumption.Drive AI adoption across the value chain: demand forecasting, pricing, anomaly detection, and generative AI for productivity.Champion data governance, quality, and compliance across all markets.Delivery & Operational ExcellenceStand up a lean, high-velocity delivery framework (Agile) with clear release cadence and cost discipline.Manage vendor and delivery partner relationships, holding third parties to outcomes rather than effort.Embed cybersecurity, data privacy, and regulatory compliance into every initiative.Team & CultureBuild, mentor, and inspire a high-performing digital team with a culture of experimentation and continuous learning.Serve as the translation layer between technical and commercial stakeholders, ensuring shared understanding and aligned priorities.WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE (FIRST 12–18 MONTHS)A clear, board-endorsed digital and data strategy with a funded roadmap.Digital Marketing Intelligence Capabilities over: Social Listening, Content Creation, Secondary Information & Innovation.Inventory & Finance planning capability lives across priority markets.Cross-border logistics digitalisation.AI Hub leveraging data lake for AI solutions and Agentic experiences.Fit for purpose SAP S/4HANA migration planDemonstrable uplift in delivery velocity and stakeholder satisfaction scores.CANDIDATE PROFILEExperienceMinimum 10 years in senior digital, data, or technology leadership roles; FMCG or cross-border B2B experience strongly preferred.Proven track record of owning a digital P&L, building teams from scratch, and delivering enterprise-scale transformation.Deep hands-on fluency in modern data platforms (Databricks, data lake architectures), CRM (Salesforce), and Microsoft Power Platform. ERP (SAP S/4HANA), and AI/ML.Experience leading Agile delivery at scale with third-party system integrators.EducationBachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, business administration, analytics, or a related field.MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.Domain KnowledgeStrong understanding of FMCG value chains: marketing, order-to-cash, finance, and supply chain.Familiarity with data governance, privacy regulations (PDPA, GDPR), and compliance frameworks relevant to a multi-market operation.Leadership & Behavioural QualitiesFounder’s mentality – comfortable operating with ambiguity, moving fast, and making decisions with imperfect information.Resilience and grit – able to sustain high performance under uncertainty and competing priorities.Exceptional communication skills – able to translate complex technical concepts for business audiences and influence senior stakeholders.Empathetic, inclusive leader who listens first, coaches generously, and builds trust across cultures and geographies.Agile mindset – customer-centric, embraces experimentation, treats failure as a learning input.KEY STAKEHOLDERSUI Leadership Team and CEO, Unilever International.One Tech / Core Platforms team (Unilever group).Business and operational stakeholders across 40+ markets.Strategic technology vendors and delivery partners.Developers, architects, and the broader Capabilities team.
