OPERATIONSOperations is a dynamic, multi-faceted division that partners with all parts of the firm to provide banking, securities, and asset management services to clients around the world. In addition, Operations provides essential risk management and controls to preserve and enhance the firm's assets and its reputation. For every new product launched and every trade executed, it is Operations that develops and manages the processes and controls that enable business flow.OUR IMPACTThe team is seeking a skilled professional who will provide managerial oversight of the regional team and strategic partnership with Operations leadership to deliver business insights for data driven decisions. In this role, you will apply your quantitative, problem solving and client service skills to support the various business units and clients. You will also play a key role in suggesting and implementing process improvements for the team to mitigate risks and enhance the overall client experience.HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIALPrepare to gain a comprehensive understanding of the trade lifecycle by interacting with the business, middle office, and engineering teams in order to work toward a shared goalManage a team of developers using the Agile project management methodologyAct as a strategic analytics partner to business and operations stakeholders translating complex requirements into clear metrics, key performance indicators (KPIs), and actionable dashboards that advance strategic objectivesCoordinate BI project prioritization and stakeholder engagement to ensure timely delivery of analytics solutions aligned to defined business goalsMitigate risk for the firm and our clients by securely delivering data to stakeholdersPartner with engineering teams to develop scalable business processes to support our clients Drive the design and implementation of scalable, maintainable Business Intelligence (BI) solutions using modern tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Alteryx, and analytical languages such as Python, R, and SQL, enabling enterprise-wide data-driven decision-makingProvide technical guidance and mentorship to BI analysts and developers, promoting best practices in dashboard design, performance optimization, and data storytellingElicit and document business requirements, produce specifications for BI solutions, and ensure full testing traceability to align deliverables with stakeholder needsBASIC QUALIFICATIONSGraduate or Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Math, Engineering or related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence/Digital TransformationAnalytical, self-motivated, detail-oriented with strong problem solving skillsAbility to work within a high-risk environment and meet challenging deadlines and targetsAbility to communicate clearly with end users, development managers and other stakeholdersProficient in db query languages such as SQLProficient in Data Visualization with tools such as TableauProficient in data analytics using tools such as Alteryx or Power BIExperience with using multi-dimensional data modeling/data warehousing for data analytics and reporting PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSMinimum 3 years’ experience supporting a Financial Operations functionExperience in gathering and documenting requirements with full testing traceabilityExperience using project tracking tools such as JIRA or ConfluenceExperience in predictive analytics using tools such as Alteryx, Python, or RCreate and maintain ETL processes using a vast array of toolsABOUT GOLDMAN SACHSAt Goldman Sachs, we commit our people, capital and ideas to help our clients, shareholders and the communities we serve to grow.
