Principal Systems Engineer - AI & Digital

Define and lead the AI strategy for engineering, aligned with business objectives, and set standards for responsible AI use, including human review, data security, and client confidentiality.· Identify and pilot AI use cases, such as automated document generation, compliance review, and design calculations, and measure their impact.· Work with IT and vendors to integrate AI tools into engineering workflows, and train engineers to use them effectively.· Take technical ownership of telecom engineering packages through feasibility, concept, FEED, and detailed design, and approve system architecture and key design decisions.· Interpret customer and authority requirements, clarify design certification with third parties, and review drawings, calculations, and deliverables.· Oversee system integration, FAT, SAT, and commissioning, define testing and handover standards, and resolve complex technical issues.· Lead and mentor telecom and junior engineers, and build team capability.· Act as the senior technical contact for customers, EPC contractors, and vendors, and lead technical solutions for major proposals.· Work with Project Managers on planning, delivery, and design changes, ensure compliance with quality and HSE standards, and report to management.
